Here are a couple poems i wrote for my english class last year. I figured i post them here and see what you guys think. The first one is a minimalist poem describing the infamous seen fom seeing red, the next was from an assignment where we had to write a poetic spell so i got some insparation from willow and tara's past spells, and the third is a poem describing our favorite tv show. so i hope you guys like!
~Seeing Red~
Bang! The window
shatters.
Crimson ink from
her heart,
“Your shirt?”
Tara's last words.
She falls to the floor
cold.
Willow rushes to the shell
empty.
Her shirt soaks
white to red,
eyes turn midnight
black.
Anger ensues her entire
being.
She seeks eternal
vengeance.
She needs power,
darkness takes over
Hands phase through
tomes,
absorbing all that
they hold.
Words creep up arms
to her head,
auburn hair turns
to black.
Unleashing her wrath
upon
the murderer turned
victim.
Now becomes victim turned
murderer.*
*Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 6, Episode 17
~Karmic Will Invocation~
Child of words, hear thy makers.
Child of words, we entreat.
With mandrake root and dragon's blood,
By St. John's wart and rusted mud.
Summoned by the great ancient beings,
Mother Earth and every Saracen Queen.
With our potions, thou took motive.
With our motions, came to pass.
We rescind no one's past devotions,
Give thee substance, give thee mass.
Like bending vines and rushing waters,
To create a fate that now is sealed.
Ink of life from my hands, I offer.
Let this broken soul be healed.
Spirits of serpents now appear!
Hissing, writhing, striking near.
From my invocation let this spell be spun.
From this eve forth my will be done!

Seven years, 144 episodes ago,
I sat in front of my tele screen.
Watching a new TV show,
The best one to hit the scene.
As I watched within the hour,
Buffy this girl in blue,
Was kicking butt with this power.
To the world of TV, it was new.
As I watched the people of Sunnydale.
Many knew no more then the rest.
Below them was the mouth of hell.
that made them act possessed.
Buffy protected this town,
From things that go bump in the night.
Saving people all around.
She never went out without a fight.
She would learn how to slay,
From Giles, watcher and teacher.
And friends who helped along the way,
Whom she saved from every creature.
There was Xander brave, yet not so strong
And Willow, witchy and super smart.
They helped Buffy right the wrongs,
And stake the vampires in their hearts.*
As I watched I began to wonder,
Why can’t my life be like hers?
To have slayer strength or magick power,
To be popular, noticed and heard.
I was shy and didn't speak that much,
But then that began to change.
I made a choice to remove my crutch,
Buffy guided me, at first it was strange.
I started laughing, making friends.
Finally something to talk about.
No longer sitting all alone, not pretend,
Like caterpillar to butterfly anew, I flew out.
I carried with me all that she inspired,
A fresh start, loving friends, and fun times,
Is what I had gained and what I desired.
And now I can't thank them enough,
For all that they've done for me.
They'll never know they saved a life,
just by being on TV.
