I am really not sure where to post this but I am going to post it under the "Angel" stuff and if it needs to be moved feel free to do so.
Sure we already know what his role will be, bring the fall of everything good blah blah blah. But how do you think everyone else will handle it? By this I mostly mean Buffy. It won't be as easy as the last time she had to kill Angel. Then he was evil, this time he won't be. It will be the man see fell in love with 10+ years ago. I was wondering what some other fans had to say about this situation. Do you ever think this story will be told? Which publisher will put out the comics? Or will it be the first crossover event?

I think everyone (publishers) is reserving this one for either Joss or when Joss gets a pitch that he likes about this he'll take it. Considering they show Angel standing over all the dead body's I guess it would be assumed he either beat buffy, buffy was already dead by this time, or she is dealing with her big bad of the time..

Also he doesn't have to be the big bad that brings on the end of the world, he only is supposed to play a large role

I think that the future is still open, one single choice can make a huge difference for the future. Besides the vision looked bad, but it could look worse than it actually is. It can be a very bad shot of Angel walking on the work of somebody else. (I still can't believe that Angel can do that on his own.)
I doubt that Angel would end up as the big bad, his story is that of a man who tries to change. It's bummer if he ends up worse than how he started.
About the story, I'm note sure. The final battle will be written for DH by Joss. But maybe that there will be an extra arc to fill in the blancs for IDW?

I wonder, if Angel signed away that Shanshu prophecy, is he not spared the downside of it along with the good?

Wesley gave Angel a vision in After the fall direct from the Senior partners that showed the end result of the shanshu prophecy. He stated right before he showed it to Angel that "They forgoi to file it" meaning the black thorn didn't do what they needed to, to make the signing away of the shanshu prophecy official.

I think it should be the live action movie everyone wants.

But that was because everything went to hell, the hell that was undone... *ponders* Wolfram&Hart were gone. They want Angel to bring the fall of man, and plus I don't think they were too worried about filing it away at that point. I think that they still have plans for Angel and will be back once they are juiced back up again.

Perhaps that vision that Angel saw of himself is the final battle where we have the end of magic? Or something of that sort. Or not. But perhaps now we'll see Angel trying to prevent that vision from happening

The vision that Wesley showed Angel was a future apocalypse where Angel played a big role, just like the Shanshu claimed, only Angel was evil/Angelus and not the Angel that we all expected to play a role in the apocalypse.

Isn't the prophecy about a vampire with a soul? So it can't be Angelus. Or Angel is really losing it, or it's not what it looks like.

Well the "vampire with a soul" part was just lingo used to establish Angel as the vampire the Shanshu prophecy is talking about. There was the possibility that Spike could be that vampire, but Wesley confirmed in After the Fall #12 that it was always about Angel.
Throughout the series it was always a question of whether Angel's role in the apocalypse would be on the side of "good" or "bad". Wolfram and Hart's main goal was to always turn Angel to their side, so that he would be an instrument of evil in the apocalypse, which Wesley's vision to Angel in After the Fall #12 showed was going to happen.
But Angel threw a major wrench into their plan by willingly sacrificing himself, forcing Wolfram and Hart to resurrect Angel, which also caused Wolfram and Hart to disappear from L.A.
So now the Shanshu and Angel's role in the final apocalypse is back in question.

I really hope that it is brought back up again and not just left unresolved. I think some of the best stories and episodes in the Buffyverse have been dealing with Prophecies.

I don't believe it simply because i don't think anyone and this includes Angel is that important. There are lots of whitehats in the world and they would stop Angel. Buffy,Spike,Willow,Faith, ect, everyone of them could dust him. This is my least favorite storyline of After the fall, on the show it was minimal, in the comics it was overblown. I don't think the Buffy of now would have much trouble dusting Angel, she was willing to sacrifice Dawn who is family. Sister>>>>>>past boyfriend. And Buffy has already proven at being able to kill Angel, his soul was already returned when she did it. Personaly i believe Spike should be the one to dust him. He's the only one that can truelly understand Angel's situation. A vampire with a soul deciding to be evil shouldn't get any more second chances.

A vampire with a soul deciding to be evil shouldn't get any more second chances. I have always thought this too. Angel and Spike have that like/hate brotherly bond going on, more so after season 5. In the end I really hope Spike kills Angel or Angel kills Spike. Plus Spike already said he would.
