Going with the theme on the Buffy board.
What was your first Angel episode?
I remember my first one was from the Pylea arc. It was "Through the Looking Glass", even with just that episode I really loved the character Lorne, and was shocked at the ending.

Started off with Conviction. Angel season 5 was the only season that was around at the time and I mainly started watching Angel cuz Spike was in the season

First I watched was "City of Angels" when it first aired on Sky in the UK (in 2000 I think?). At the time, I was still watching S3 of Buffy on the BBC, which was a year behind, so some parts of Angel (like the Faith bits) were pretty confusing and a little too spoilery...Then I just blasted through S4 of Buffy on VHS and watched the two shows in sync as God intended.

I had seen bits of 'I got you under my skin' and 'Eternity'on Sky with friends, but I didnt like the idea. I ewas a bit Lestat fan back then and didnt really like the way the vamp faces went. " So stupid" I said. Oh how I changed:)
My friend was a huge Buffy and Angel fan and the next year he sat me down and watched a double bill of "Buffy v Dracula" and " Are you now or have you ever been". I was hooked. Especially on the Angel. As time went on I became more of an Angel fan, and now officially obsessive:)

I think I watched Angel the first time on TV, not DVD.
I think I missed the first ep, but saw Lonely Hearts - To Shanshu in L.A. then bought the DVDs.

I watched City Of when it aired on channel 4 (I think...? maybe channel 5?) in britain, and then a few episodes after that. But then they TOTALLY mucked up the airing of it and I ended up seeing the rest of angel properly when the dvds came out.

Hulu again. I was watching in sync with Buffy, so City Of was the first one I ever saw.

I had never watched it until I got season one in the mail after I brought it...so the first one I ever saw was the first episode of the show.

Second to last episode of season two. I was like "this show is cool". I've been watching it ever since. I didn't even know about buffy then.

City Of was my first one, and I watched it concurrently with Buffy when it aired.

"Cavalry." More specifically, I only caught the very end where Cordy kills Lilah. I remember thinking "Cordy's a villian? WTF? Whatever, dumb show" and then changing the channel. I didn't watch all of Angel until last year when I impulse-bought the box set, and that scene still didnt make much sense when put into context. Not a dumb show, just a dumb season.

it was either RM W/ A VU or Habeas Corpses... either way, two of my favorite episodes ever.

I honestly can't remember the first episode I saw. I am going to shamefully admit that I didn't start to watch BTVS until the sixth season and heard of ATS that way. I think I still didn't get a chance to watch ATS until it's 4 season cause that's when I really started to get into to watching Buffy during it's 7th season. 7 years too late. : ( Anyway I eventually ended up playing catch up when TNT brought ATS on it's network.

The first episode I saw was the first episode - 'City Of', I had been pretty excited about seeing the Angel spinoff, but to be honest it didn't really have much impact on me. I guess Rm W/A Vu was the first episode I can remember watching though, it was pretty incredible to see. That old lady ghost really freaked me out.

Well I started watching Angel straight after finishing season 7 of Buffy so I just started on " City of" having never seen it before. However "In the Dark" was the first Angel episode I really loved, purely because of Spike's little speech!
