So, I bought a SFX magazine yesterday, which was a vampire special. Came with 4 Buffy coasters, New Moon poster and vampire book. But moving on. And in the magazine, there was a 50 Greatest Screen Vampires of All Time, based on a poll. And sitting in the number one position was our favourite bleached blonde vampire, Spike, which is really cool. There was also an interview with James Marsters and Juliet Landau in the magazine. Now, since I accidentally left it at work, I can't type up the list, but Angel/Angelus was voted in at third place, while Darla, Drusilla, the Master and Harmony all had places in the Top 50

I've got this. It's worth getting hold of for the James and Juliet interviews alone. It's good to see that the Whedonverse Vamps are so fondly remembered so long after the series ended. Maybe the voters are also buying the comics !

Vampire Willow was in there too.
I won the magazine for free at a Buffy fan meeting, which is great, considering that they cost 50USD on ebay.

Is this a recent issue of SFX or something I'd have to buy at auction - I want Buffy coasters!

Yeah, I think it is a recent issue. And the coasters are cool. There's one of Spike from season 7, Buffy from season 4, Angelus from season 2 and the Scoobies from season 5. Get it Oh yeah, forgot about her. Like I said, I left my issue at work. Oops

My friend got a copy of the magazine and transcribed the interview with James Marsters, here. She apologises for any mistakes Thank her so much for taking the time to type that up. It was quite lengthy so I know it took a good bit of time. While I'm not a huge Spike fan, I do adore James. He seems so kind and generous to both the fans and his fellow actors/writers. Great to read the interview!

I'm a huge Spike fan, so I'm happy to see him top the list. I'm reading that interview now, and it's so nice of James to do an hour long interview. Not to mention, they really covered a great scope of his career. My favorite bit... It's just strawberry syrup anyway...

Cool list, but there's a couple I'd have liked to see:
Santiago - Stephen Rea from Interview with the Vampire. He's definitely one of my favourites from that film just because he's such a grade-A a**-hole.
Count von Krolock - Ferdy Mayne from The Fearless Vampire Killers. Although a strange and kitsch film, the count is brilliant in this film, chewing up the location!
I love the inclusion of Count Duckula! Brilliant show!
*karmas for list*

What makes this list even more awesome is that it basically had all the vampire characters from the Buffyverse.

I like that all the major Buffy vamps are on there. And I'm excited that Eric Northman from True Blood got on there. I'm disappointed that Bill Compton beat Eric out by so much though, because I kinda think Bill is a weenie.
