if there is a topic regarding this line of thought please feel free to move it there.
i was reading some random forum about twilights identity and it said that buffy's memories from the fight with caleb are now part of the whole slayer memories.
now think about this, how mind blowing weird is the fact that harth has all this memories...
but the thing that is peculiar is that he now has the memories of thousands of slayers instead of just the 100 (i'm speculating the number) from 2 centuries (if the empowerment spell would not have been done)
i believe that having this many memories might drive someone kind of crazy.
and he or she might want this to be over! he might be twilight or something or not.
but what i want to share or talk about is the fact that now we have a little too many slayer memories and what is the implication of this for the future.
will all the slayers share the same memories and that is why they are so connected now, because they are sharing in a real time basis.

Which would be quite shocking and something to consider as fans, but this hasn't actually been confirmed in the book itself.
It would lend some credibility to the Harth crowd though, I'll grant that.

oh well you are correct.
we do know that the slayer memories are always given to the new slayer hence the chain (dana *chaneling the one from the boxer rebelion and niki*)
we saw on fray and time of your life that harth has the slayer memories so i believe that if his time line is not an alternative one but a direct timeline from the one buffy is in at the moment, he must have all the memories that were accumulated from buffy, faith and the rest of the 1800 + slayers.
i don't like to assume (i am a law student so i rather go with facts) but it is always nice to see what other people might think about a subject such as this.
that is the main reason why i joined slayalive, i love reading theories and the best ones are created by the hardcore fans lol, i love me some fanboyish debate!

Oh wait, you're right. I had completely forgotten about The Chain. I like that. Twilight's line about knowing the crotch move could possibly be from the Slayer memories and not from someone actually being there. It still doesn't narrow down Twilight's identity though.

He would have access to all the memories, not necessarily see all of them. I think the implications of that impossibility is pretty obvious. However, I believe Harth would have seen more memories than any other slayer because he as a vampire wouldn't sleep and therefore access them at all times. We also have Harth's monologue in Fray where he has seen "hundreds" of memories. Harth as a contender for Twilight: He does have access to those memories, but it hasn't been confirmed that he knows "that move" or that Harth himself is in fact fascinated by Buffy. I like to go with facts too, so I'll join in the debate. I believe Harth is Twilight. I do believe he has a fascination with Buffy. It is reasonable to assume that he has at least "met" Buffy through his dreams because to date, as far as the audience knows, she is the longest living slayer; hence, there would be more memories of Buffy within the Slayer Memories than any other. This would then raise the odds that Harth is at least familiar with Buffy, and thus raising the probability that he knows "that move". Another reason Harth could be obsessed with Buffy was her trip to the Future, where she actually met him face to face. As far as we know he has only met two slayers, Mel, his sister, and Buffy; one of whom at least he has a decided obsession. We also know that time travel is possible within the Buffyverse. Because this is not reality, and the line of logic is sound, the motivations of Twilight if written to be Harth would not be difficult to explain.

Nevermind the bit about Buffy being a legend amongst Slayers, Buffy is also the co-progenitor of sorts of the Slayer legion. That and the fact that Harth was in cahoots with Future Dark Willow would probably pique his interest some.

Oh yeah, I forgot about FDW in that respect. She certainly had a preoccupation with Buffy, but she was also lying to both Mel and Harth, so whether that preoccupation passed to Harth through FDW, it isn't that clear.

Harth shouldn't be Twilight. Harth is just....annoying. He's more annoying than The Annoying One from Season One.

Who knows? With that suit, he could be wearing lifts. Apparently James Marsters wore lifts at least once, so he wouldn't look so short compared to David Boreanaz. I thought that was hilarious...
