Link: www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20302134_20307632,00.html don't really agree with Seeing Red/Villains being that high, or even being on that list, but meh

Pretty good list. My order would be completely different, but most of those episodes deserve to be there. I agree about "Seeing Red" and "Villains." They are the only two that shouldn't be on there. "Waiting in the Wings" or "Selfless" would have been better options, but whatever, not my list!

Very cool ''YOU'RE WELCOME'' made it on the list... so many epic episodes there.

Great list! Seeing Red was an okay choice to put up there, but it shouldn't have been that far up. ;D

Good list, though I fear that they were trying to give each show an unwarranted even billing (is "Jaynestown" really the ninth best Whedonverse episode ever - it wouldn't come anywhere near the list for me, though the other Firefly episodes were well-chosen and certainly all favourites of mine). They make a salient point about "The Body", and give the two Season 2 hard-hitters ("Passion" and "Innocence" - better than the finale for me) their dues.

This is a pretty good list...I agree about Seeing Red/Villains though. I mean, I like Seeing Red, but...I don't think it would be on a list of top 25 episodes, seeing as it's not a Buffy-only list. I agree with Jaynestown being weird, too...I mean, I love it. I love Jayne. I love his song. But I don't think it should be in the top 25, lol.
I'm glad Graduation Day, Not Fade Away, AHITW, Hush, and Innocence made the top 10...totally deserved. And The Body as #1 makes perfect sense.

Awesome list! Thanks and Karma go to Isabelle for posting this thread! I really liked that Man On The Street was included, because that was one of the most interactive TV viewing experiences I've had since Buffy was on air. I was on edge screaming at commercial breaks to my mom "WHAT JUST HAPPENED!! OMG!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!" It felt good to get that into a show again, since the last time I felt that way was when I watched Buffy and screamed at those commercials. Seeing Red was a pivotal episode, and it was very well written and beautifully shot. I'm thinking of how hard I cry everytime I watch Tara die and Willow invokes Osiris to plead for her lover's life. The ep does deserve it's spot on the list, in my opinion. I think the Gift should've been #2, out-done only by The Body at #1. I mean, come ON! The girl jumps into a demon-hell portal to save the world and she does it with confidence and grace. She knows her family will be ok, and she knows that she is complete; it's the ultimate sacrifice! The Body.....I'm crying just typing those words. It gets right at my core, because I have a very strong connection with my mother, and when she and I watched this episode together, we are both so awed by this hero's vulnerability at the human condition. Buffy's reaction to her mother's death--cold and analytical planning of the funeral--reflects so much on the psyche of the Slayer, and how many people in real life push their emotions away in order to be "strong." But this episode shows Buffy's biggest strength: her tie to humanity through (I can't believe I'm admitting this...) little sis Dawn. the final scene shows Buffy and Dawn finally facing their fear of death, personified in the body of their dead mother. The depth of this episode could be the basis of an entire course in psychology, therefore I think it's a deserved spot on the list. Thanks again Isabelle! -Jen

great list however i'd personally remove the zeppo, and seeing red/villian and rearrange some of the episodes but it was great
i'd probably have to add objects in space from firefly and hero from angel instead

I think the only person who would not change thing about this list is the person who wrote it. And even then, my list of favorite episodes/books/movies changes every time I think about it.

I like how on Smile time, the author told the haters to get over it CD And I'm a "Seeing Red" and "Villains" fan so there's no argument from me, there. I can't say much about Firefly cuz I only watched the first half of it. Couldn't get into it. I think it's because I'm not a fan of the outer-space sci fi genre. Except for Cowboy Bebop. but who doesn't love Cowboy Bebop? Ew, but the people who complain how "It is so PC to like this episode" bug me. They remind me of people who hate anything mainstream simply because it's mainstream :/
