Here's what it said: Greetings! We would love to know which characters and licenses you would like to see us do next. We need your input. Please take a minute to complete this survey and if there is anything you really want us to make and it isn't on the list, please add it under "other." Thank you! Your friends at TONNER Take this survey And then there was a link to the survey site, which I can't access now because I've already taken it. But here's where it matters: On the list of franchises you could vote for were Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly/Serenity. Here's hoping. I voted for Buffy, and in the comments field I said I would buy Firefly figures too. I really need a Mal doll! I want Mal, Spike, Willow, Drusilla, and Angel. BTW: If you've ever registered your e-mail address with Tonner, check your e-mail in case you got the survey too. For those who are unfamiliar with Tonner, here's their website: www.tonnerdoll.com/They do some really beautiful dolls, and they do some great franchise pieces. Here are some examples: PotC www.tonnerdoll.com/pirates.htm#2009fhHarry Potter www.tonnerdoll.com/harrypotter.htm#2009fhThe Wizard of Oz www.tonnerdoll.com/wizofoz.htm#2009fh

I've never seen those kind of dolls before, they look really gorgeous.
It would be awesome if they did a Buffy collection! But would they rival the sideshows? I mean they obviously have more detail in the clothing and hair...(I assume, can only compare from pictures) but the faces aren't as great likenesses from what I can see.
In saying that I'd be happy to have a new Buffy line out there!

They're also made of porcelain, and the clothing details are very intricate. They're nice, but Sideshow dolls have better likenesses.
Still, new Buffy is new Buffy which has the potential to be cool!

I can't do it because I can't get back into the survey. I think it was by direct e-mail only, but if any of you signed up for Tonner Direct e-mails, you may already have a survey in your inbox. Wouldn't be a bad idea to drop them an e-mail anyway, I think.
I've seen these dolls in person, and typically they're about four inches bigger than the sideshows, and much more doll like. Sideshows have this action figure quality. That's not to say Tonner dolls aren't very articulated, they're certainly able to pose, they're just more dollish, by this I mean they have rooted hair and potential extra outfits to purchase. I think an accurate Eliza Dushku for example would have to have rooted hair. That was my major issue with her sideshow, that her hair looked dumb. And, I really think the fabric choices tend to be better quality and more screen accurate looking.
I do love my 3 sideshows, but for having display dolls, there's nothing like Tonner. Sure, it's more expensive, but it's worth it to have an incredible looking doll like that.
Additionally, I haven't seen all of the dolls Tonner makes, but the ones I've seen (Pirates, Twilight, Wonder Woman) have all been hard vinyl. Jack Sparrow, according to the website, has 14 points of articulation.

Well they do sound really great, looking at the Harry Potter with Trunk one, it'd be great to have a Buffy figure with multiple outfits and accessories!

I filled in the survey too... and Buffy was my answer to both the questions! Everyone please take the 5 seconds it takes to answer the survey! Edit: Also decided to post on my blog about it, even though I don't get much traffic maybe some supporters will stumble across it! secret-scoobie.livejournal.com/

I purchase Haute Doll which features Tonner dolls a lot. Why do I get this magazine? Because they have incredible face paints. I want to learn how to do great faces - some issues have instructions. If you want to know how to do eyes/see great eyes then take a look at the Tonner site and/or pick up an edition of Haute Doll - it's expensive so browse through one in the store.
I will vote.
BTW, this month's issue shows the winners of the "Vampire" contest. While the editors don't know stuff about Buffy and Angel, the contributors sure did - there was a Spike and a Dru submission.
not great - our Slay Alive custom people would blow them away - but at least they entered and know about the Buffyverse.
