Ok, so this wild idea came from a discussion I had a some other board about how the most Whedonian show on the air right now could be argued to be Bones. WIth its instantly loveable characters, twisted plot, witty humor, relationships that ends badly (or never come to satisfying conclusions), weird change-of-pace episodes (Stewie Griffin and coma fantasy) and, of course, David Boreanaz, Bones has all the trapping of a Joss Whedon show.
So I came with the idea: hey, why don,t you get Joss to pen a Bones episode. And of course, because it's simply to easy to do (and because Bones a Fox show), the episode would be a Buffy shoot-out.
So, in this episode, Booth and Brennan would be called to investigate on a body found in Buffy convention. Following Sweets advice that "the only way fanboys will open to you is if they believe you are part of the group", Booth and Brennan goes undercover.
So the squints are all waiting to see Bones and Booth disguises before they begin their investigation. Brennan, wihtout any surprise, opt for the strong woman and dress as Buffy, blonde wig included. Then appears Booth (played by Angel, remember), wearing a leather coat, a red t-shirt and a blonde wig.
Angela -- And who are you?
Booth -- I'm Spike. Buffy's vampire lover.
Brennan -- But Booth, hasn't Sweets said that Angel was Buffy's true vampire lover?
Booth. Nah. Angel's a whiner. Spike way cooler don,t you think.
And then Booth and Brennan start to argue...
Of course, the viewer is now laughing his ass off because he is either
-- Watching Brennan and Booth having an argument about fictional characters for absolutely no reasons.
or
-- Watching Angel dressed as Spike.
So, What do you think? Would you watch that? Or do you have a better idea?
