Well since issue 27 was Brian Lynch's final 'Angel' issue (the Annual notwithstanding of course), I think it would be a good thing to give appreciation to the man who almost singlehandedly revived the Angel franchise. Of course many other hugely talented people have been involved (editors, artists, letterers, colourists etc) - but if it wasnt for him approaching Joss Whedon that day to inform him of the upcoming Spike:Asylum we may never had had the continuation we all wanted to badly.
Through the 17 issues of After the Fall, and the 5 issues of the ongoing (as well as the Spike minis before hand) he crafted a tale worthy of the Angel franchise and I think it's only right to say: Thanks!
So if anyone else wants to weigh in please do:)

good idea for this thread. I do fall behind this whole hardedly and I am sad his run on Angel is over but I dont think of it as losing a great part of Angel but as seeing what other greatness he can bring to the table with the upcoming Spike series, not to mention welcoming Willingham to the table. But Thnx Brian , You've made history.

I've very much loved reading Brian's contributions to the Angelverse. I'm really looking forward to the new Spike series and am hoping that Angel will visit there from time to time. I enjoy the way Brian writes Angel.

Brian you rock! Your work on Angel's been the best of the series by a mile, and you really capture the voices and mannerisms of the characters you work with Kudos to you!

Okay, so I read Spike: Asylum, Spike: Shadow Puppets, and Spike: After the Fall. Seriously, the BEST miniseries I have EVER read. While I had problems with Angel: After the Fall, I realize they were mostly about the artwork and the plot. However, the writing is stellar. When After the Fall wrapped and I read Aftermath and now The Crown Prince Syndrome arc... I gotta say that I really miss Brian Lynch. He had all the characters down and reading the comics is like watching an episode. What I really appreciate is that Brian always develops the characters. The characters aren't the same when the story is finished.

Thank you Brain for giving us After the Fall, as well as giving us Spike Asylum, and Shadow Puppets. I wish you all the best.
