I'm so excited SMG will be coming back to TV and I think HBO is the perfect place for her. So proud that she's also going to be Executive Producer. Go SMG!

The Life of David Gale was a fraking excellent film, The Intepreter not so much - but I still trust Randolph and Gellar. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say (or hope) that this will have some airs of Six Feet Under, Weeds, Dexter, House, and the like - a very character driven 'adult' drama with some black comedy thrown in.

I haven't really liked her in anything but Buffy. I keep trying, but the characters she has been playing all just kinda fall flat. After having 7 years for character development and then only -1 1/2 hours.....i guess it's not enough time for me to actually like her, or enough time for her to actually act. This being said, as I know the smg lovers are going to go nuts- I really think it's the parts she has picked. I know she can act. I loved her in Buffy....just nothing since. So let's hope this will rekindle my affection!!! I would love to love her again!

It's about time she realised that her film career wasn't going anywhere. I hope this does well Best wishes, Scott

I've always liked SMG. I liked her since Scooby Doo (I didn't watch BtVS when it was on TV, I was too young). I'm glad she's got this.

The only thing I really liked her in was The Grudge. So yeah, I think TV is definitely her medium. I've never seen her do comedy, though. I think she could pull it off because Buffy was quite funny sometimes, but it'll be weird seeing her do a sitcom.

She should definitely hit them up and see whats going on. I wouldn't want her to be a regular or anything but it would be nice to see her on it again.

There was a certain revival during the later part of the 90's with Chris Katan and Sheri Oteri, Will Ferrel, Molly Shannen etc. I mean watching that show now..hardly anyone laughs in the audience. Its mostly just like watching a really bad improv group since no one cares to memorize their lines anymore! Sarah so far in all of her comedic roles has played stupid girls. Scooby Doo she played a stupid girl, I remember atleast 3 sketches on SNL as stupid girls, and in Southland Tales her character was...again...a stupid girl. she'd favor in something where she was smart but wasn't a calculating bitch. ya know?

I hope this goes well for her but it seems like alot of things that everyone was hoping she'd do well in haven't been great. I just don't wanna get all excited until I know for sure she's back on television. They haven't even shot the pilot yet...

and in Southland Tales her character was...again...a stupid girl. she'd favor in something where she was smart but wasn't a calculating bitch. ya know? Ha! Who was an ambitious porn star that had traveled through a time rift, seen the future (wherein she was blonde, nude, and riding a dragon - let's not forget Krysta is supposed the be the allegorical equivalent of the Whore of Babylon in Pilot Abilene's Southland Tales), and wrote it as a screenplay called 'The Power' (which she'd later convince an actor, Boxer Santaros, that HE had written it - in order to get it made into a feature film and successfully bring down the "Orwellian Nightmare" Republican Frost campaign along with it) while high on Fluid Karma and an assortment of mushrooms. Stupid? I suppose, but nothing to be compared to any other roles she has done. I do agree she should start taking on more adult roles. Veronika Decides To Die could be great for her if it's been done right. As far as The Wonderful Maladys, that could really catapult her career depending on how well it does.

I am really excited about this. I love family dramas, witty comedies, HBO, etc., so this show is going to be right up my alley. The cast is excellent too. This might just be HBO's "United States of Tara."
ALICE: It’s a book party. Try to find something negative to say about television. Or the internet. Or just look forlorn and keep asking, ”What happened to Woody Allen?”
LOL That is excellent. This is going to be very, very good for SMG I believe.

Sounds pretty good! People have been really positive about the script on some other sites too. Seems like it's going to be pretty messed up, very excited. Sarah's character sounds great, will be very interesting to see her play the role, sort of sounds like that chick she played in Cruel Intentions. Hope it gets picked up!
