I am starting to wonder is Spike just may be in one of these two, as it would be a great time for a reunion between them!

I think Brian said that Spike and Angel wouldn't be interacting with Dru in these issues since this takes place around After the Fall, and since we didn't see Dru with them then, it would be kind of cheap to retconn it a bit and have her interact with them. I think he said it in Buffyfest's NYCC interview.

I don't see any of them reuniting in these two issues but I can see Dru keeping an eye on her boys. Angel is human so he won't be able to smell his "child" and Spike is too busy with Illyria and everything else to notice his former lover. But since they've been together for a century or so, they still might have that connection. I want Drusilla to have fun and be herself. I'm surprised she didn't become Lord of... whatever.

Yeah it would be cool if Dru sees Angel and Spike doing their thing from afar, maybe even influence some of the events we saw in AtF. Kind of how Gunn and Non had their chat in Spike: AtF.

And another... Mark Mchaley just sent a beautiful painting he did of me! I've had no email reply from him, but this does seem to imply that there will be a cover from him? Interesting. Hi all...hope this clears things up. This is the info I've posted at my regular net haunts: I'll be at the Heroic Fine Art booth (1317) for San Diego ComicCon 2009! With me will be a limited supply of Sketchbooks, Prelim Artwork, Preview Art, a Painting here and there and just a tiny amount of available Sketchcards. I will also be taking a small amount of requests for show commissions. I also have some artwork coming up in issue #25 of ANGEL (published by IDW). Issues 24 and 25 are co-written by Juliet Landau who's character, Drusilla makes her Angel comicbook debut. The art had already been established for both issues when Juliet asked if I would like to paint something that we could sneak in the book. I can't post that artwork yet but we thought it would be fun to do some completely new artwork just for ComicCon. This new art will be available as a very limited, signed and numbered print. Available from myself as well as Juliet at the IDW booth (1705) during her signings which are Fri. 1-3pm and Sat. 11:30am-1:30pm. Hope to see you there!! ~Mark Printed on 11"x17" watercolor paper, signed by Juliet and myself. Unframed.

IDW editor Chris Ryall has provided us exclusively with the other covers to Angel #25 by Franco Urru, Sam Shearon plus a photograph cover. Go to the July 18th entry at buffycomics.hellmouthcentral.com/ to see! Cool, thanks for posting! I wonder if IDW is aware (or cares! ) that they're using the same photo as the old Spike & Dru trade paperback from Dark Horse:

That watercolor is amazing. I love how surreal the entire thing is.

Ha Ha - good catch parabola.
I think that is just a generic Spike+Drusilla photo. I doubt they were aware it had been used by Dark Horse

Im not a fan of the fact that they are using the same old recycled picture, but theres really nothing we can do about that.

Ditto to Nicholas.
I'm excited about the Drusilla issues, they sound like something I've been waiting for, as I've really missed her! And the story sounds interesting. My interest had waned a bit in the Angel comics, but this has kept me going I think.
Sorry if this has been answered already - but who has the rights to Dru? IDW? ... I assume so since they're making a comic and all, but since she barely appeared in AtS I thought she would be in with the Buffy rights (and therefore over at DH).

She's a character in both, so I'm fairly sure they can both use her.

Oh well thats good to know! I was thinking with BS8, there hasn't really been any story-room for a Drusilla tie in, so I'm glad IDW is using her
