Wow! I'm jealous of the Spike cutout! And Spike and Eric are my faves, even though I've never been particularly interested in blondes aside from those two.
I think there are alot of parallels between the way Spike and Eric treat Buffy and Sookie differently than Angel and Bill that I love. Like Bill professes to love Sookie sooo much and be her end-all be-all forever love, but who paves her driveway and buys her a coat? Eric. And It just seems to me that both Buffy and Sookie are soooo obsessed with being in love with Angel and Bill that they overlook the chemistry they have will Spike and Eric, and also overlook how much more Spike/Eric are in love with them than the others, and how Spike/Eric would do anything in the world for the girls. Like getting a soul, or offering to give up everything to come live with Sookie and support her.
But yes, definately waaay better than Twilight. I also have bugged all of my friends to try to watch True Blood or at least read the books, but they keep pushing it off.

I'm gonna try to write something this time. I have 3 different ideas, I just have to pick one. I definately love this prompt though...there's so much you can do with it.

I watched the first season of True Blood on HBO and loved it! I didn't realize the books existed until a friend of mine let me borrow them. I just finished # 8 From Dead To Worse, and am waiting on # 9 Dead and Gone to be shipped to me so I can devour it. I noticed that some other people on here had mentioned reading them or having an interest, so I figured I would start a thread where we can discuss them.
So far I have loved what I read. (And Sorry to Twilight lovers but it is executed sooo much better, in my opinion.) I think the world created in these books is very addicting to me because it takes place in modern times and vamps are "out of the coffin" and can interact with normal people; but you also have surprising types of fantastical creatures as well as supernatural.
I definately think the author is a Buffy fan, cause she mentions it in her books a couple of times, and also I feel that Sookie is kind of modeled after Buffy a little, which maybe is another reason I like them so much. So it would be awesome if i had someone else to talk about these books with, but until I catch up and finish the last book (until #10 comes out that is) can you please use spoiler buttons for anything in Dead And Gone? That would be much appreciated!

Oh kewl! Phil you are so awesome! I was hoping you weren't gonna draw names and come cut off each member's big toe or something. (Mysterious things automatically make me kind of worry, lol.) I'm glad I trusted you and took a leap of faith!

Yum those sound delicious Meliafairy! Please post more, I looooovvve southern food. And Wyndam- It's funny how some people stay on the fence about Virginians being Southerners...I got my head bitten off once for calling myself Southern, glad to know somebody else agrees!! Sure, maybe it ain't the deep south, but close enough with the accents and the attitudes, lol.

I finally voted. It was a quite painful decision between two, but I went ahead and picked one. All these were so great though!!

Yes! Dreams do sound fun!! Maybe we could make it sort of like restless though and no matter what you write the dream about everybody has to have one sentance where the cheeseman makes an appearance! Or not...I'm lame, I know! Lmao

OMG I loved this!!! I used to look forward to when I could just park myself in front of the t.v and just let others make fun of it for me for a change, lol. I always wished that they were like closed captioning, and you could just randomly turn them on no matter what you were watching. I'm gonna have to pick these up on DVD for sure, I miss this. One of my favorite ones was the movie that had Raul Julia in it, I can't remember now what it was called- but they had some great material in that one. I also liked when they watched "the man with the screaming skulls".

^ Good question! I didn't get that either. Maybe they had peasants that promised to lay them to rest after they killed themselves?

I just wondered if anybody had been to textsfromlastnight.com It's a site where people send in their crazy random texts that get sent to their phones. I'm sure some of it is completely made up...but wow there are some gems!! Just a warning though- there is very foul language and pretty graphic subject matter so this is NOT RECOMMENDED for anyone but adults. I am laughing so hard tears are rolling down my face right now and can hardly breathe. Ahhhhh the craziness of random strangers, how I love thee!

This is a great idea! Before when I have participated in the challenges though I have kind of been afraid to leave feedback, cause I didn't really know what to post on my own- and I didn't want to ruin the anonymity by process of elimination! But I was happy I can freely leave feedback this time, and finding out it gives karma is an extra bonus! Next time I enter a challenge though I need to figure out something to say about my own too I guess? I just think it is a good idea if we get more feedback than we have been, it definately helps you grow and gives you motivation to enter the next round.

This was a truly great read! You write Spike perfectly, and it was a nice touch for Rose to be the one to tell Spike that he was an idiot for not setting things right with Buffy after he came back. I feel that since Rose told him, having gone through it herself, that might make him actually take the hint and go do it already! (Don't you love how I talk about this like these are real people and events that happened? mwahaha, I'm such a dork!!) Anyways, this was an awesome read, and one close to my heart! Amazing job!

Awwww, this was brilliant! I loved that you crossed them over by marriage! Very creative. I also loved how through Dean speaking to Faith and catching her up we got to hear about all the characters and the things that they had been through that were funny, or sad, or toucing to eventually come to share Dean's heartbreak and pain. And I like that you paired Sam with Buffy and Dean with Faith. I could also picture Uncle Angel and hilarious escapades ensuing with Hailey! This was very beautiful and moving!

Crossing Buffy and Jurassic Park was epic! And why do I just have this feeling that Wyndam wrote this one? ;D Kudos to you for having redshirts! It's really neat that there are so many slayers now that you could do that, because this never would have been the same without it. I loved this because It got my mind working on how slayers would react if you dropped them into a situation like this, that is usually only survivable by one lucky ass regular human at the end. If you consider some of the things Buffy fought in the show (the Mayor just for an example), it makes you wonder if they would be more freaked out to fight a dinosaur (since they would be shocked they still existed) or feel the same about it as anything else. This had the feel of a good movie I would like to go see, and it was a very enjoyable read! Now I wanna see what happens with Slayers vs. Leatherface, or Mike Meyers, or George Romero's zombies etc.
