September couldn't possibly come any sooner. The issue is coming out 2 days after I return from an overseas trip, and I'm really liking where Joss is taking this arc.

Disagree. I would think Joss would realize Fray deserves not only to be continued someday, but also to die in her own series, not just have a cameo appearance and death in the Buffy series.
Future Dark Willow is nothing like Season 6 Dark Willow, and may not even be completely "evil", but rather just dark and morally treading on a dark grey area. Maybe she feels the need to rectify things and the only way is through living for 2 centuries and doing things Willow wouldn't normally do? Notice her hair isn't full on black this time around.

I doubt that a powerful witch who has lived for at least 2 centuries is anything like her arrogant and selfishly angst-ridden Season 6 counterpart. This seems like it'll be an all new side of Willow. What exactly does she want with Buffy? If it's Buffy's coming to the future that causes the future to happen, then what exactly is Future Willow trying to accomplish?
The "So did I....which means...this is my fault" line is quite foreboding. Present Willow is definitely going down a really obscure road.
I also wanted Drusilla back, but it didn't seem plausible to me considering Joss comments about gunning for where the most pain and drama is. Drusilla just doesn't fit in that well with the current storyline.

Ah, that's a hairy fight, but Buffy could certainly take on apes. Future!PETA might have something to say about it though.

Nathan Fillion would be one hell of a bro. David's just not that awesome.
Eliza Dushku or Sarah M. Gellar?

I think Buffy's death in "The Gift" touched me in a way the other deaths did not. Sarah really deserved awards for her performance in that episode. Joss' writing was perfect. Saying that, the way Tara's death affected Willow really saddened me, not so much when she was on her war path but in "Help" when Willow goes to visit her grave. That would have to be one of the most touching scenes in either series. Cordelia's and Fred's deaths were equally heartbreaking. It was those episodes that made Angel season five one of the best seasons of any television show. Basically read my mind there. I went with Buffy because The Gift was definitely one of those very defining moments for the character, and one of Sarah's finest moments as well. The expression on her face as she realizes what she must do, is quite haunting. I almost gave Tara the vote, and I normally would've. I also think the saddest moment of Tara's death is actually Willow's grave visit, but the "Your shirt-" line is just disturbingly sad. Fred and Joyce's deaths would come at a close third and fourth, respectively.

The Mayor. Flawless satire of a small town corrupt official. It's really no surprise a mayor of Sunnydale just had to be evil.

Eliza almost had it down, but apparently didn't study Sarah's movements and expressions as well as Sarah studied Eliza's.
I went with Sarah on this one. She really had Faith down, though a bit overdone.

Illyria, Dark Willow, and Buffy. Though everyone knows Joss could outwit them all. Or...well...just write them off.

Definitely. Both Amber & Emma had about the same amount of screen time in seasons 5-6, so I don't see why Amber wasn't added. True, and Amber was a really great addition to cast who deserved more credit and more time for her character. She definitely blew me away in all her Season 6 appearances.

I am still quite puzzled by people that weren't able to understand this film. Granted, it does slightly play out as if it was something out of David Lynch's notebook of stories he felt would be to complex to take on and end up being pretentious and fall short of being masterpieces, but it's a very clever satire of American society and politics. And that's all it is really, social/political satire with elements of time travel. It is basically a hyperbolic take on the USA. It's not a flawless film, but it is quite clever. I had some really great laughs the first couple of times I watched it, and later when I read the graphic novel. One major flaw is that although the film does stand alone enough for it to be a complete story on its own, it still is part of another story found only in the graphic novels. Watching just the film is almost like watching the third season of Buffy without having watched the second or the first. And like most literature and most art/independent films, Southland Tales is not meant to be a clear and linear 'brains-off' story, it's meant to be analyzed. To those that don't want to, I suppose the film really is an absolute mess. Southland Tales Analysis and Comments The Cine File: Southland Tales AnalysisSouthlandlover's Theory at IMDB

Great series, and I think it definitely has time to get better. Dean is one of my favorite television characters in a while, and the Ghostfacers are just hilarious - Whedon would be proud.
I can't agree with their take on vampires and witches however. It's almost insulting actually, but it seems that the overall storyline is making up for it.

I can't help but feeling like it is the supernatural tv equivalent of a casserole. True. A frequently shark jumping supernatural casserole...that never tasted very good to begin with. I never agreed with the premise of Charmed, and I really tried to endure as many episodes as possible, but it just never went anywhere remotely non-superficial. It really does pale in comparison to Buffy, and even Supernatural. Rose McGowan and Julian McMahon were absolute wasted talents in the series. And the thing is that with a better premise, better writers, and so forth, it could've been one hell of a great series.

I heard that Elle dies in the first episoe of season 3. She was meant t die at the end of season 2 but they obviously changed their minds. Not sure if it's true but I know that someone does die in the first episode of season 3...as long as it's not Peter, Hiro or Claire I'll be happy Actually, Elle has an upcoming arc of at least 4 or 5 episodes, if I remember correctly. I'm definitely hoping they bump her up to a regular. I really think she's a far better character than even some main characters, which is why I don't understand how the hell has Maya become a regular and not Elle. Maya...really? Eeek!

I'm very glad to have Fray back for a Season Eight arc, and definitely cannot wait to see what will be the outcome of this meeting.
Fray ranks as one of Whedon's finest moments in my book.
