I am starting this new thread because I just saw on the Internet that Susan Boyle just lost Britain's Got Talent after the huge hype around her last performances and I'm like what?? Really? What happened there? And of course it brings us back to the other front runner of this year's American Idol, Adam Lambert, who lost to Kris Allen.
So what happened to these folks? We don't vote for front runners?

Buffy is public proerty. She became public property as soon as she became the icon that joss had wanted. Huh? Are you arguing that things become public domain due to popularity? Really? Buffy is NOT public property!!!!! There's canon and non-canon.

Again, you're arguing legality while I'm arguing morality. I know Joss doesn't own the rights to Buffy. Fox does, and the Kuzuis claim they own the original movie version. Just because something is legal doesn't make it right. And again, you're arguing the movie might be good, and I'm arguing it's wrong whether it's good or not. If a mugger takes your wallet, he's going to enjoy himself spending your money. Does his enjoyment mean that robbing you was morally acceptable? Not sure what your argument is on the Willow/Tara question. Shot himself in the foot... are you saying it was a mistake for him to introduce that storyline, and he shouldn't have done it because it offended a small minority of the viewers? Well from that perspective, we can argue why should not a Buffy movie without Whedon be made? Only because it might offend a very small number of viewers (compared to the large audience it could attract)? Just playing devil's advocate. PS: Please, please, don't get Ambersknight started on Willow and Tara!!! For the sake of us all!! :-)

wasn't actualy having a pop at you mattheiu, just your post that came up and I wa annoyed. if you felt I was I apologise, was not my intetion. What you said is what I've been arguing all along. That its way too early to make any judgement about this film if it even happens. Oh I didn't take it as a pop at me!! I was just dropping in the thread to give you some support. I always like to help the underdog! Plus I do agree that people tend to jump to conclusions a bit too fast.

I personally don't worship Joss Whedon even if I recognize his amazing work on Buffy.
I have doubts concerning a Buffy movie without his vision involved but I won't jump on the bandwagon and hate it like everybody else does already even before we have any solid information about what the movie would be about.
You see, I am not Joss's knight, just like I'm sure you're not Amber's knight! ;-)

Sorry if I didn't understand you. Must not be my week. I'm having a day where I think I'm speaking clearly and illustrating my point effectively, only to find out that I'm actually in bizarro-land where I'm not actually being clear and I'm actually being misconstrued. Ever have one of those days? You think you're saying something that's making a lot of sense, and you know people will agree with you, then you say it, and... nobody has a clue what you're talking about, and more than that, they essentially repeat back what you had tried to say, only they didn't realize that's what you were trying to say? Yep, that's my day today! Never happens to me, I always get my point across, amazingly.

So does anyone else have multiple aliases on the internet? Do you ever find it strange when you'll be talking to someone only to realize that you know them but under a different username? Full disclosure of Internet Aliases: - Emmie (Slayalive, Whedonesque, Buffy Forums) - EmmieDSE (Aim and Twitter) - Angearia (Livejournal, All fanfiction archives) Always Mathieu or Mat. Matcool, on rare occasions. I like to stick to my real name.

I don't know who Butler is, but I used to watch a scottish show and I was drooling a lot. The main male character was gorgeous, had a kilt and his accent made me guahmmblingmmmm Not a fan of the Scottish accent... I don't think it's the sexiest accent ever. Maybe I've never heard the right Scots speak though.

It seems to be a common thing down south, this way of driving. My family went to Spain and told me about how they pocket-parked(pretty sure that's not the word). If they've parked on the side of the road and want to get out, or if you want to park there, they make place buy bumping into the others cars to make room. Atleast where my family where. Their bumpers can't look pretty. Well I guess we can say that France, Italy and Spain are three countries where it's not safe driving and parking your car! I have my driver's license but I never drive in the US, I take the subway and the bus, or I get rides from my friends ;-) I do drive in France but not too often.

Marsielle. I ate snails! It was disgusting.Well not at first. . it tasted like chicken until i got to the slimmey part. brrrr And do all French people drive like mainiacs, or just the two me and my classmate(we were on a school trip) were living with? Marseille? Awesome, I love the French Riviera. They sure have a strong accent down there. Lyon (where I'm originally from) is a little bit more up north, so my accent is a little softer (I mean, when I speak French). Last time I ate snails were about 15 years ago, I think! I have no idea what it tastes like anymore!! You should try frogs too. I haven't had any in like... 15 years too, but frogs taste more like chicken. I'm not too sure about eating snails again though, it looks too slimy indeed. And yes, most French people are maniacs on the road. What do you expect? Blame it on our Latin roots. Italians are even worse I reckon.

Mathieu, I've been to France and heard a lot of (probably fake) accents on TV, so I have to say that you guys do sound sexy(okay, it was years since I was in France). However, your accent is too american to sound that sexy. Or maybe you're just from a more non-sexy accent-y part of France. Not that I wouldn't do you, but if you sounded less american, I'd find you sexier. Of course, nothing beats a british accent. Are you saying that my accent is not sexy?? Ahaha, just kidding. I'm glad you think I sound a little too American to really have the sexy French accent thingy going for me. Many of my American friends often advise me to exaggerate my French accent to increase my sex appeal with the girls, but I think that's dumb. So I won't give into that. What part of France did you go to? I think that no matter where you come from in France, the "regular French accent" is pretty much the same everywhere.

Thanks for saying that Shivi! But I do think your voice/accent served the poem better.
