On October 28, 2006, Whitney Houston attended the 17th Annual Carousel of Hope Ball with her mentor Clive Davis, who said in his award acceptance speech that Houston and himself "are getting our things together, and we're going to make a killer, killer album".
All of the songs have been completed for Houston's upcoming album. Houston is returning to the studio mid-March to record all the songs chosen for the album, as she said when she attended the pre-Grammy Awards party on February 10 with Clive Davis. It was revealed at this event that Whitney will officially return to the studio in March to record her comeback album. The album is to include collaborations with Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Missy Elliott, Akon, Ne-Yo, and Lil Jon; however, executive producer Clive Davis has made it clear that this will be a Whitney Houston album, focusing on her, and less on "flavor of the moment" sounds. Akon said, in an interview relating to Houston, "Don't get me started on Whitney Houston, the single we worked on is going to be the biggest song of her career, I'm telling you, I can positively say that. She's basically right back to the start of her career, she hasn't released an album in years and now shes's hungry for it like no other. She's coming back as Whitney not the conflicted Whitney. This Whitney is not what the media created her to be, she's back on form and I can guarantee that."
The superstar has sold 120 Million Records and still counting...
