Uh, fanservice is like how they get certain character's all sexy so that they sell more. They do this with both guy and girl characters. So they got Buffy all sexy and on a throne, when really she's more quirky than that. She's always been that way. |

Its amazing. If only I could afford such an item, why do I chose now to be unemployed. Grrr
If I pre-order the statue now with flex pay am I guaranteed the item if I pay the three installments without hassle?
Also, would it cost more if it is being sent to UK?

CourtneyDax, I agree. That pose is a bit too provocative. It's not exactly Buffy-ish.
Midnight, I'm not sure they take flex pay from international buyers, you'd better check. Shipping is definitly higher internationally too. I think it might cost from 50-100bucks, but you can't find out until 3 weeks before they charge the card or ship (I can't recall). The PFs they sell usually cost 50-150 to ship (from ebay sellers). Then there's of course the VAT cost (I think that's 30%) and customs fee.
And I doubt they wouldn't allow you to buy once you've paid.

So no, I may buy it in future - although it would cost more- but at the moment its a no no. Grrr

I guess you could look on sideshows site for in stock statues with similar size and weight, and ask how much they cost to ship, and assume they cost the same.
I could ask on the sideshow forum for you, how much they think shipping will be. I think there are a few international buyers there.
I think, in case you're happy with the ordinary one, not the exclusive, you might be able to get it off ebay one day.

I agree that the pose isn't very Buffy-ish. It looks nothing like her actually- body mannerisms, facial expression. I can't believe how much they're charging for it!

I kind of like the pose. It kind of give her a bit more of a mature feel to her. Also, she's basically mocking the vamps by saying, '' you can try, but you're going to be dust anyways.''
I do wish she had a smirk of some sort though. That way, it would feel more like Buffy.
As for the throne, I think it's awesome. Maybe it's just a way to show that she's gone through some really dark times, but still seems to shine brightly and kick ass.

So will we be getting more Statuettes? are they going to give us Angel,Spike and maybe Willow or Faith and then end the line? like every Buffy toy lines seems to do at some stage? if so I don't think I want to get to into this if we are never going to see Cordy/Wes/Xander ect...

They showed us sketches of Willow and Faith, but we haven't heard any release date or seen any in progress pics, so who knows.

Sideshow should make a Statue of Buffy sitting on a grave with a stake and the syche leaning up the stake. And then Angel one side of her and Spike the other side and a hand coming out the grave.

Sitting on a grave would have been much better. Are they in the smae scale as the 12" figures? what are they made of ? I sure that I had read it somewhere.

Check the size details on the statue's site. I think it says what material it is.
