In School Hard he says to Angel "You were my sire man"
And im pretty sure he mentions of Angel being his sire in Buffy or Angel a few more times
HOWEVER
In flashbacks in Buffy maybe a few in Angel it shows Drusilla siring him and in the episode Destiny in Angel he says
"Dru sired me but you made me a monster" to Angel so im abit confused as to who his sire is
In my own opinion i'd say that when he refers to Angel being his sire he means he was like a brother or a master figure that taught him everything but Drusilla was the one who made him into a vampire

In Angel season 5, Spike also refers to Angel as his "Grand-sire".

Joss said that even grand-sires can be refered to as sire. As long as you're above in the blood line, you could be called that.
So Dru sired Spike, but they're both his sires.

My brother and sister in-law bought me the Angel series for christmas. I am currently watching through season 2 where they explore a lot of the history of Angel/Spike/Drusilla from Angel's side. I had seen the Buffy episodes that dealt with the subject from Spike's perspective. It is really interesting to see it all from Angel's side, really puts a different spin on things.
