Does anyone watch this show? And if your Italian, are you offended by their use of the word "guidos/guidettes" on the show?

As an Italian and a New Jersey native I am disgusted that MTV allowing this to be shown on their network. They are a disgrace to the Italian race and give the world a bad view of what Italian Americans and New Jersey folks are like. End rant. Ahh I feel better now.  |

I've never actually watched it. It's been background noise while I've done my homework a few times waiting for other shows to come on, but I don't really know what's going on. I just know everyone sleeps with everyone, and that Snookie girl gets punched in the face a lot. Seeing her get punched in the face on "The Soup" by a guy was intense o.0 I just recently realized how popular this show was. For the longest I didn't think anyone watched it.

Honestly it seems like this show mostly got popular by how many complaints they got.

I feel like getting angry at mtv for having a crappy and offensive show is kind of like getting mad at Fox for canceling good a tv show. Yeah, you have every reason to be angry, but were you really expecting anything less?
I haven't actually seen Jersey Shore though. Don't intend to either. I feel like they should've just stuck with one True Life: I'm a Guido/Guidette, and been done with it. But whatever. It's like the Real World, only the people barely bother to pretend that they're not trashy.
