I've combined all Buffy canon to make the ultimate Buffy cast list. I used "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel", "Buffy Season 8", and "Angel: After the Fall". That's all the confirmed canon we have. Here's the list, hope you like: Angel: 190 Buffy: 176 Willow: 173 Xander: 171 Cordelia: 146 Giles: 136 Spike: 136 Wesley: 123 Gunn: 106 Dawn: 89 Lorne: 83 Anya: 81 Fred: 70 Joyce: 59 Tara: 48 Oz: 46 Andrew: 44 Connor: 43 Faith: 36 Lilah: 36 Riley: 35 Harmony: 35 Jonathan: 28 Darla: 26 Kennedy: 25 Drusilla: 25 I just think it's cool to see how it all adds up.  I can add more if you like but I think that's long enough. |

Nice List, so how is it made up? every ep/ issue that they are in? did you use the 'Tales' comic that had Buffy and Xander in it? how about flashbacks/ archive footage from the show / comics?

Eeeek, I didn't lose the "Tales" comic. I also didn't use the "Willow" one-shot. Should I add them? I didn't use archive footage (which isn't a big deal because there isn't much at all), and I counted most of the flashbacks when it was new footage filmed (or made) for that episode (or comic). I hope that makes sense. Any other suggestions to what I should include? |

I did some researching and this is what most consider canon:
* All 144 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
* All 110 episodes of Angel
* The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight comic series
* The Angel: After the Fall comic series
* The Fray comic series
* The Tales of the Slayers comic series
* The Tales of the Vampires comic series
That adds 1 to Buffy, Xander, Willow, Kennedy, and Drusilla. It also adds 8 to Fray's characters but they don't have a high enough appearance number.
The majority of people consider Spike ATF and The Origin canon. Should I add them?

Now if we don't count the comics I did my own add up. Angel is by far the most prolific character in the Buffyverse with 110 eps of his own show and about 60 eps of Buffy. If we don't count the original movie Willow is actually the 2nd most prolific due to being in every single ep of Buffy and having 3 guest spots in Angel whilst Buffy only has 2. Then comes Xander (who wasn't in CWDP), then Cordy, then Giles, Spike, then Wes

I updated it with Turbulence appearances. Giles is equal with Spike, now. Andrew passed up Connor. Faith is equal with Lilah. Riley is equal with Harmony. Kennedy is equal with Drusilla. That is all. |
