So who here is experiencing the snow storms of 2010?
I live in Maryland and we have been hammered with snow and blizzard conditions this week. I got stuck at work for 4 days because of the snow we got this weekend and now there is another 12 to 24" coming down right now. I'm personally sick of snow.
So has anyone else here been effected by snow? I know the midwest was hit with storms earlier and New York is right in the path of the blizzard that is currently hitting Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Crap, that sucks. If I were to get snowed in anywhere, work would be the last place I'd pick.
I'm currently getting snowed on. I think we're supposed to get 6-18", on top of the 6 or so from this past weekend. So, it seems like a lot, but it's nothing compared to some other places.
I was talking to my cousin who lives in Philly, and they got 28" over the weekend, and the weather report says they're going to get up to 22" more. So that's a pretty intense amount of snow, especially in the city like that, because there just isn't anywhere to put it all.

Where I live in Virginia, we have been right under the line for the heavy snow that DC and further north have been receiving. We had a blizzard for like 2 hours earlier, but now the sun is out.
It is crazy the amount of snow some areas are getting. I think more is heading our way this weekend.

Arkansas was snowed to hell the past couple of days. It's sunny but cold now, and the snow is starting to dry up. Of course, that didn't stop two days of classes being canceled and morning classes this morning also being canceled.

Barely any snow in New England so far this season, which is weird. Had one big storm a few weeks ago where we got 3-4 feet, but other than that... nothing. Not fair. I want classes to be cancelled! Been stuck in the 10-20s temp wise for a couple weeks, the least mother nature could do is bring some snow along with it.

I had a horrible ice storm which was ugly and nasty. Personally would rather have had snow. Snow isn't as likely to make your power go out, it can be fun and it's pretty. Now if I have to drive to work, I'd like no snow or ice. We're not equipped for winter weather in eastern nc because it doesn't happen a lot. We might get like an inch or two to stick every now and then.

Loads of snow in Vienna, Austria, Europe, too. I abstained from going to work in the morning cause I was sure that public transport would not be working. Will try in the afternoonn though, I have an appointment. But our snow situation is not half as bad as at some places in the states! I like snow, but only in the country - in the city, I can truly do without.

Currently we Marylanders are in the thawing process. So far we've gotten 72 inches of snow total this winter and 50 or so of that was in the last week. We've got so much snow there isn't anywhere to put it. Thankfully we are looking at three days or so of no snow and sunny conditions but according to the weathermen that's not going to last. Monday evening is suppose to bring another snow storm.
Gah...I wish we could box all this snow and just send it to Vancouver. No charge. Just get rid of it.

Well, I jinxed myself. We're supposed to be getting a good 4-5" snowfall here tonight. I think I was a child the last time that happened. hehe And I have to go to work tomorrow. Thank god I recently had to get an 4wd vehicle.

The newspaper said that we could get 8 inches tonight. Our magic number for getting off is 6, and I could really go for a 7th day off. I'm crossing my fingers.

You guys all talk inches and feet - where I live in the UK it's number of flakes It's been snow flurries here on and off the last week but none settling. That said though we actually had plenty of snow (uk = 6 inches) this winter througout the country from December through January. It makes us all a little bonkers, everything grinds to a halt and we've run out of road grit. I work from home so I can't even call in to say I can't make it.
