So, I was curious as to whether the average Whedon fan prefers cats or dogs. I got into an argument with a friend over it today, so I thought it would be interesting to see what the good people at Slayalive think. I'm firmly on the side of Cats in this argument, although I like some dogs.
Also, we could discuss if the characters are cat or dog people. I'll start that off...
Buffy/Angel characters:
Buffy- No idea, could go either way in this. Although a dog would be easier to take on patrols so I'll go with that.
Willow- Both. She said she always wanted a puppy but she definitely loved Kitty Fantastico.
Tara- Cat person all the way.
Angel- I think a cat would more fit his brooding personality, but could also cheer him up. I think a dog's hyper jumpiness might get on his nerves. Although he did save that puppy....
Cordy- Cats, because they're classy, cute, and also low maintenance.
Oz- A calm and stoic cat, =)
Xander- He'd probably like a playful dog.
Spike- Hmm, I really can't decide. What do you guys think? I think He'd profess to not like either but really likes both.
Anya- NOT a bunny, I think a quirky cat or small dog would suit her, although, cats require less money to be spent, so to keep her money maybe a Cat....
Riley- Definitely an old-fashioned country dog.
The Mayor- The Mayor would probably like a dog, gives him a good image so no one will suspect him.
Angelus- He enjoys nailing puppies to doors, so I'm going to go with cats on this one. I can just see him stroking a Siamese while plotting evilly. Also, he seemed quite upset at Angel saving that puppy....
Drusilla- She seems to like puppies, and also dolls.
Giles- All we know is that Giles likes horses...
Gunn- Dogs, maybe a stray he picked up hunting vamps
Wesley- Don't particularly know... either way, Dark Wesley could use a kitten or puppy in his solitude.
Fred- Don't particularly care.... maybe a taco... (*is not a Fred fan*)
Illyria- Illyria considers the trivial nature of this argument and pets to be beneath her. Given a choice, she would pick Spike....
So, what do you guys think? This is my first time starting a topic here...=)
Also, if anyone would like to add some Firefly, Dollhouse, and Dr. Horrible characters that would be cool and welcome. I would but I've got a lot of homework to do. I'll probably do that later on.
