Spike wasn't holding a scythe at all, it was an axe, lol.
And also at this point I think there's no way of knowing whether or not he's alive in her time. I certainly hope not, though. How lame would that be for him? He's befriended so many non-immortal creatures I'd think he'd be lonely (and Angel might have Shanshued or Twilighted something so he might not be alive in Fray's time either).

Well, like timeturner said, there's also Illyria to keep him company and maybe he hangs around FDW sometimes, just to reminisce, until she dies that is. I like to think that Spike does survive all the way to Fray's timeline and having him mentor Fray like Kratos said would be pretty cool

Yeah, I would like him to be alive also. I know that the upcoming Spike comics are canon, but I don't like him to go out of love for Buffy and in love with some new(or newer character) just now. On the other hand I *do* want him to be happy with something immortal that is out of Buffy's timeline.
