Was Cordelia a potential slayer?

Was it ever confirmed that Cordelia was a potential slayer. I know it was always hinted at, especially in the graduation part 2 when she slayed the vamp. But it would be so awesome if she was.

Hmm...i've never heard about her being a potential til now. What I have heard (from the episode commentaries and interviews) is that Charisma C never had a chance to stake a vamp on screen and she always wanted to so she asked Joss if she could for that episode and he said yeah.

I don't see Cordelia being a Slayer...I loved her story arc of getting visions from PTB and turning into a higher being after that. (then her character got ruined with the season 4 arc IMO )

Umm, her slaying a vamp really wasn't a clue of anything. Nearly every character of Buffy and Angel, including the males, have slayed a vamp here and there.

I don't think she could after becoming a half-demon right? You have to be all human and like, age 15-20 to be a Potential.

I think of all the major character on both shows, only Tara, Andrew, and Lorne never got to dust any vampires. (Tho Tara did kill the leader of the demon biker-gang.)

Off the top of my head, all the (non-slayer, non-potential, non-vampire) ones that did: Willow, Xander, Giles, Dawn, Anya, Oz, Riley, Cordy, Wood, Jonathan, Wesley, Gunn, Doyle, Fred, Holtz, and Justine.

Umm, yeah. Pretty much. Well, implied. The whole point of the slayer is to kill demons. You could argue that not all demons are bad, but that's probably not what the Shadow Men thought. They chose an ordinary girl from their tribe that no one cared about and created the slayer line, so that when she died another ordinary girl would be called.

i know! it was kinda cool how joss brought some minor characters back to play a bigger roles. and it was so funny seeing a vampire out of Tom! ;D

Yep, he was in Harmony's gang. After watching seasons six and seven Andrew became one of my favorite characters, so when I went back and watched "Real Me", I was like "heeeyyy!"
