Summary: Aftermath after the fight in the alleyway at the
End of Angel season 5. Faith has come to help after she fought in Sunnydale and Gwen has come to lend a hand.






The Beginning Of An End

"Life doesn't always go as you plan you make crappy choices ,
i should know , i screwed everyone over that ever tried to help me in my life , iv'e tasted darkness and everyday i can feel it trying to pull me back , but iv'e changed now i fight , you see i was going to give up though't i'd done my time but you never really repay for what you've done all you can do is try and make things better thats what he told me Our Time Is Never Up , and ever since that day all iv'e wanted is to fight and not give up"

Faith leapt down from the building top. She pulled a packet of ciggerettes out from her pocket and lit one. She exhaled and the smoke blew off into the night. She pulled her jacket around her arms and walked off down the alleyway. She could hear footsteps behind her. She flicked the ciggerette on the floor and grinned , just as it started to burn out she turned around sharply.

"You know for a vampire you're not great at sneaking up on people" she called out.

Angel emerged from the shadows. He was as tall , dark and tormented as ever. "Faith" he smiled.

"Whats with the stalker act?"

"Wesley doesn't have much time" Angel told her with his head looking down at the floor

"I thought....he was dead"

"So did i but after the fight in the alleyway i went back to check , Gwen thinks she might be able to kick start his heart but we need to get to him now , i need you to cover me"

"You got it" she nodded

Angel and Faith ran to the end of the alleyway where Angel's car was parked they hoped in. Faith checked the backseat of the car and found a crossbow with sharped arrows.

"Nice"

The tires screeched and they shot off. They turned a corner and Faith heard a awful squealing sound. She looked in the mirror and saw a band of demons running towards the car and they were coming fast she swung round and shot at them she piereced one through the heart , it tumbled across the floor then melted. Angel pushed down on the gas.

"How you holding up?"

"Five By Five" she smirked.

After Faith had cleared the demons she could see she turned back round and sat in the car.

"What if he doesn't make it" She asked grimly

"He will" Angel said gritting his teeth

The car stopped and they both jumped out Angel kicked the doors down and ran ahead. Wesley was lying motionless on the floor , Gwen was sitting next to him.

"It might not work Angel"

"It has too" he growled.

Angel handed Gwen a small metal bracelet which she put over her wrist. The braclet clinked and clenched around her wrist. Gwen placed her hand over Wesleys chest. Gwen slammed her hand down hard over Wesleys heart , Electric currents flowed arounds his body. Wesley let out a huge gasp and coughed out a mouthfull of blood. Angel scooped him up.

"Wesley your gonna be okay" he reassured him

"Angel get in the back i'll drive" Faith commanded

They jumped in the car and drove off.
Gwen stared at the bracelet. "I could get used to this"
Gwen stood up and stared to walk off

"I thought he faded......." Illyria quizzed with a confused look on her face.

"Jesus! you scared me" Gwen said jumping back

"You brought him back , how?" Illyria asked

"With this" Gwen said holding her hand up and flexxing her fingers. "Interesting" Illyria said still looking dazed.

"You go find Spike and help him fend the demons off , and i'll go to the hospital and find out whats happening with Gunn"

Before Gwen had finished Illyria had disapeared. Gwen picked up the sword that had killed Wesley and shuddered. She dropped it and walked out of the building.

Angel placed Wesley on a stretcher. Wesley spluttered some more. "We need a doctor!" Angel barked. "Whats happned" A short man with cropped brown hair asked. "Are you a doctor?" Angel asked the man. "Yes now we can't help unless you tell us what happened" the doctor replied , "Stabbed" Faith said bluntly
"Your'e wasting time now help him" Angel snarled grabbing the doctor by the collar. Faith grabbed Angels arm and pushed him back. "We need to back off let them do there thing alright? , you go i'll stay here and keep watch on Wes" Faith informed him.
Angel stared at Faith for a momment then left. The doctors gathered around Wesley and wheeled him off.

Gwen walked into the room where Gunn was. He looked beaten and almost dead , She sighed , It was lucky she arrived at the alleyway when she did or Gunn would of died. She closed her eyes and remebered how the vampire jumped from the rooftop and slammed Gunn to the ground and how he winced in pain. She walked up to Gunn and held his hand.
"Your gonna make it your a fighter you know that right"

"Spike" Illyria said tonelessly
"Blue , you mind helping over here" Spike shouted as he punched a vampire in the face. A large demon swooped down its talons out. Illyria ran to Spike and pulled the demon to the ground she jumped in the air and landed a kick to its head. The demon squaked , Illyria flipped herself over so she was facing its head. Spike threw a sword at her she caught it and plunged it straight into the demons head. The vampire Spike was fighting was nothing more then dust.

"Thanks blue" Spike mumbled
"Wesleys alive" Illyria said cracking a thin smile
"Sod off , your lying" Illyrias face cracked and she smiled more.
Spike grinned and wiped the blood from his forehead
"Remind me send him a glad your alive you lucky bastard card when were done here alright" Spike said with a wicked smile.

A fresh bunch of demons ran down the alleyway swords high in the air , "Ready" Spike asked. Illyria and Spike charged down the alleyway at the demons. When Angel dropped down. "Thought you might need a hand"

Old Wounds

Wesley opened his eyes. A normal paced beeping was coming from the heart monitor. He blinked a few times everything was blurry. He stared to get up when Faith walked in.

"Wesley stay down you gotta rest" She said putting him down gentley , Wesley winced a bit. "Sorry".
"No it's fine , it's just the wound" Wesley told her.
His voice was croakey and he looked terrible.
"I thought i was dead" he said grimly.
"You was" Faith said flatly
Wesley looked at her. "I saw her Faith she was a beautiful becon of light at the end of the tunnel"
Faith looked at him and smiled "You mean Fred?"
"Yes" Wesley said as he started to well up with tears.
"It's okay Wes , im sorry she......the docors said you're going to be fine , im gonna ring Angel and tell him" She squeezed Wesleys hand before he left the room.

Faith sat down and pulled her phone out. She dialed Angels number the phone rang for a while before he picked up.
"How is he?"
"Fine , the doctors said he's stable he'll be out of there within a week hopefully"
A glass of water started to rumblr. Faith look confused her phone switched off and the lights started to flash. A huge crack ran through the floor. Faith jumped off the chair as the floor started to open. She ran back into Wesleys room and the sky turned red. Fire flew from the sky. "Well thats never a good sign" she said to herself. People in the hospital started to panic a nasty looked slimey green demon pulled itself from the crack. It glared at Faith with its yellow eyes , its body wriggled and four arms extended. Faith rolled out of the way and drew a dagger from her coat pocket. She jumped up and rammed it into the demons brain. It screeched and fell back into the hole. Faith didn't know what to do she need to get Wesley but she couldn't carry him alone without injuring him more. Angel burst into the room. He put Wesley over his shoulder and placed a pillow by his wound. Faith get the tape and put it over my shoulder "so when i run it wont hurt Wes"

Spike felt around inside his coat for his phone that was ringing.
"Sodding technology" he moaned.
He flipped the phone up and put it too his ear.
"Spike , ask Illyria to take you to The Hyperian"
"Blue" he called "The Hyperian we need to get there"
"Tell Gwen too"
"You got it forhead" Spike said tossing the phone in his pocket.

Gwen felt the ground shake as she clinged to Gunns bed.
The monitor was starting to fade.
"Dammit" she shouted.
Gwen removed the glove from her hand and put her finger on Gunns heart , electricity flowed around Gunn his eyes lit open.
"We need to get you outta here big guy" She said
Gwen ran outside she spotted a wheelchair.
Gunn clammbered out the bed and sat in it.
Gwen started to run as the cracks in the floor seemed to chase her.

Faith smashed the door of the hotel open.
It was dusty and a wreck , "Take Wesley into the basement"
Angel ordered Faith , "I'll wait here for the others"
Faith grabbed Wesley and helped him down to the basement.
"Angel what the bloody hells happening" Spike asked
As the sky started to spit lightning every few seconds.
"It's more than the Apocalypse it's the end of the world" Illyria said flatly walking down to the basement.
Spike huffed and walked down with her lighting a cigerrette on the way down. Gwen ran through the door , Gunn almost fell out the wheelchair Angel caught him. Gwen was sent flying through the hotel as a bolt of lightning struck her. She climbed to here feet and followed Angel.
