Eve, the potential slayer who appears as a whiny Negative Nellie until she's revealed to be dead and being impersonated by the First. Do you think the real Eve would have been just as irritating? The First usually does seem to adopt the mannerisms of the person it's mimicking. But then, nobody knew Eve when she was alive, so there was no need to mimic her that closely, and most of her whininess fit in with the First's goal of sowing doubt and uncertainty among the potentials.

I've always got the idea that The First couldn't help but adopt the personality and mannerisms of the person it was appearing as. That being said, I think the real Eve did have a somewhat negative and whiny demeanor, but I really doubt she went as far as The First, who tried to make the girls feel abysmally hopeless and such.

The First can look, walk, and talk like the deceased person. However, it still has control over what it says and when it says it.

I don't think what the First said is what Eve would have said (at least not all of it) but I think the rest of the personality would have been the same. She might have been less evily confident before though; some of those looks as she told her "worries" were just too creepy.
