Gi crashed to the ground in an unfamiliar world. One that promised to be salvation. She knew it was merely one success and that she will never totally be safe. The vogeries would not allow any of their slaves to run free. Jhiera stood next to her and someone unknown to her wrapped a blanket around her naked body. She looked up to Jhiera, the renegade princess, for guidance. This woman was the reason any of them had even been promised freedom. Jhiera and the other helped her to stand and a loud breaking sound was heard, before she even had time to turn around to see what was happening, a fight erupted. Gi could tell it was the vogeries coming for her. The fight made for a good distraction, enough for two of the men from her world to grab her. She tried to kick or fight herself away from them but the blanket that was to cover her kept her from moving freely- funny how that always seemed to be her lot.
Gi was pushed into some machine, surrounded by her enemies, and taken effortlessly and very fast to somewhere far from her savior. She begged them to let her go but they said nothing. What more could she expect but what was she to do? They took her to a large building filled with plants and flowers, not surprisingly to her.
“You don’t have to do this,” she pleaded and again they ignored her.
“Please don’t,” she called, only to be answered with no eye contact, “Why does it speak when no one listens?”
They held her still now and she knew why, though she couldn’t see anything but the floor and some deceptively pretty flowers. She imagined the instrument behind her back, used to completely remove her desires, emotions and sense of self. She would rather be dead than to have to passion but be forced to live with no mind. Her eyes closed so that at least she wouldn’t have to see.
Another fight began behind her and Gi fell to the floor again, this time she crawled as far as she could and hid behind a box in the dark. The light from a window streamed in above her head. Soon the last of the fighting seemed to have come and Gi heard a soft male voice calling, “Miss?... Miss?” She didn’t dare come out or even look to see who it was, but the man found her anyway, caught with nowhere to run. At least he’s a man from this world, she thought, he won’t immediately want to unmake me. He is a man, so it will happen eventually, she also told herself.”Are you okay?” he asked, then reached out his hand and added, “I won’t hurt you.” He had no ridges or markings on his face, but his features were pleasant and expressive. She felt as if he’d be just as likely to laugh or be angry at any moment but that you would always know which one.
“But I’ll hurt you,” she said quickly, before he could touch her. The man pulled his hand a little farther from her. “I need to cool down,” she told him directly and she hoped with intensity enough that he would realize how dire it was without her having to explain. How much could someone in another world understand her people in only a few short moments?
Gi saw the puzzlement on the man’s face but he nodded to her and asked her to follow him. Should I be doing this, she thought as she rose, blanket still wrapped around her. The bodies of the vogeries lay on the floor, one barely moving, some breathing, and some not breathing. He certainly got her away from her known enemies, she reasoned. As he led her out, he turned to her often to see if she was still following, but he didn’t speak. He was large, with short, dark hair and an attractive face. His clothing appeared sensual and rich and she felt herself growing warmer. Her ko electrified. Since she had reached maturity, this happened to her a lot and was one of the things she wasn’t supposed to be able to do anymore. That was one of the many things the vogeries wanted to take from her.
The man asked her to get in one those devices that had carried her to this place but she did as he asked. This one seemed larger and more open.
“I’m Lindsey.” he told her softly after that had some a short ways.
“My name is Gi,” she responded.
“Where do you come from?”
She gave it some thought and then spoke, “Another world named Oden Tal.”
He turned to look at her as he asked, “Did you come here to get away from those men?”
Gi nodded back at him, mimicking his agreeing motion from before.
The man opened the door for her and led her into his nice large home. It was a large collection of rooms in a larger building.
“You said you needed to cool down?” the man asked her as soon as they’d entered the room completely and he’d shut the door behind them.
Gi looked around her and answered softly, “I either need really cold air or ice to lie in.”
“Come in here,” he told her and motioned for her to follow him.
He turned on an apparatus that made a blowing sound and he shut the door to the room. “It’ll get cold in here fast. This can be your room and I’ll sleep on the couch.”
“Where is the couch?” she asked him, repeating his word but not knowing what it meant.
He smiled at her, “It’s in the room we were just in. Make yourself comfortable. I’m gonna go find you some clothes.”
Gi nodded at him and sat down on the bed with the blanket laying over just enough of her that she could easily cover herself back up when he came in the room. When he returned, he carried in an armful of garments and laid them on a long piece of furniture before her.
“I have no idea what you like so I called work and they brought me all these things,” he explained.
“They are quite useful,” Gi responded simply with a small smile.
Lindsey smiled at her and said, “Yes, they are. What do you like?”
Gi wrapped the blanket tight around her and stood up to look at the clothes. Some were flowery, some were dark and leathery and some were soft to the touch.
“This looks interesting,” she told Lindsey and help up a fitted pink dress with an uneven hem and a low back.
“I’ll leave so you can try it on,” he told her in an almost playful kind of air, feeling the desire to flirt with her but also aware that it probably wasn’t a good idea.
He knocked on the door a little while later and she told him to enter. The door opened with his touch and revealed the exotic red head in a stunning and glamorous dress that made her look both feminine and powerful. “You look beautiful,” he told her, almost breathless.
“I believe I’m supposed to thank you,” she replied and gave him a wide eyed look similar to one a human girl would give a man she liked.
“For complimenting you or giving you the clothes?,” he asked her with a playful smile.
She smiled at him and replied, looking into his eyes, “For everything.”
“How do you feel? Is the room cold enough?” he checked with her.
“It will take a little time for me to become accustomed to your world, but I am doing well,” she told him confidently. He felt that she was comfortable with him and that made him happy.
“Well, I hate to do this, but I have to go to work for a few hours. I’ll bring you back some more things when I come home. Help yourself to whatever is in the apartment while I’m gone,” he told her. He wanted to hug her but he didn’t.
When Lindsey returned, he found Gi had been perusing his books, eaten some of the fruits and vegetables he had in the fridge and came walking right up to him when he knocked on her door. He had a bag on his shoulder but Gi wrapped her arms around him. He put his free arm around her and stroked her back.
“Hi,” he said happily. “You must be feeling better.”
Gi stepped back and Lindsey put the bag down near the door.“Yes, but I must spend a certain amount of time every day in the cold to help me to maintain my acclimation.”
“You said you’d hurt me, what did you mean?” he asked her without judgment, just emotionless talk. He knew if she had meant him harm, she would have done it and not warned him. He was a lawyer; he made his living by manipulating things and people.
“Women from my world are able to shock or burn instantly. On our world we can control it, but here we have to undertake certain measures to control it,” she explained, in a tone that made him wonder if she was ashamed.”Jhiera explained it all to me before I came.”
“That’s okay. I’ve dealt with many people and creatures who wanted to do me harm. Someone who’s able to do so doesn’t scare me that much,” he told her with a smile.”I brought you more things. A woman from work got more things for you based on what I told her you picked out.” Lindsey opened the bag and let Gi pull the things out. He watched her with admiration as she laid the clothes, accessories, underwear and shoes on the bed. She seemed fascinated by every item.
“What is your work?” she asked him as she continued to empty the bag.
“I work for an extremely large company with a lot of power. What I do there is… not something I’m so happy about. I’m just good at it,” he told her honestly. He noted to himself that he hadn’t tried to deceive her in any way, just like she hadn’t seemed to do that with him. He felt very comfortable sharing his true feelings with her.
“These things are very nice,” she looked deep into his eyes to say. “If everything in your job comes with such good service, I see why you work there. Power is hard to refuse.”
Lindsey met her intense gaze and said openly, “Particularly when you never had any before.”
“Yes,” she said simply but revealingly.
Gi fingered the clothes and items that he’d brought to her and Lindsey was glad she seemed happy with them. “They can be stored in here,” he told her and opened the door to the closet. His things were already hanging on the rods but there was room for more.
“What do I do with these?,” she asked him, holding earrings and bracelets in her cupped hands.
“Lay them here for now. Maybe we can go shopping tomorrow and I can buy you a nice jewelry box,” he suggested, motioning toward the dresser on the opposite wall.
The mirror on the back of the large piece of furniture reflected him and her and they both could see each other eyeing the mirror image. Her alien face was accented by ridges from her temples to her cheek bones and her people’s makeup enhanced these. She looked at his handsome, smooth face and wondered if one of his kind could ever find her pretty. The electricity at the base of her neck flared and Lindsey turned his attention from the reflection to Gi’s back. “That’s what those men wanted to take from you?” he asked her softly and reached out to stroke her back.
“Yes, it is the center of our passions and individuality,” she responded but her thoughts lingered on his touch. His fingers pressed against the bare skin of her back, joined by the palm of his hand.
Lindsey looked down at her, past her red hair, and then she turned to speak her thoughts with her eyes. He leaned forward and brought his lips to hers and Gi let him. He wrapped his other arm around her and continued to kiss her, brushing his lips against hers. He felt her smiling and she began to copy his movements, gripping his arms with her fingers. He parted long enough to meet her eyes, examine her to see how she liked what he was doing and then he tasted her neck. Gi whimpered sharply, surprised by the sensual touch. His soft, loving lips caressed her and she felt every movement as pleasure moving through her. She felt both afraid and extremely excited. This feeling was entirely new and overwhelming to her. He ran his hands over her body, watching her reaction and then asked softly as he did so, “Do you like that?” Gi nodded to him, releasing a soft moan.
Lindsey grabbed the hem of her skirt and then slid his hands over her thighs, then her hips, and her waist. He pulled her dress over her head and then laid her down on the bed. Gi looked up at him nervously but with a smile on her face and Lindsey couldn’t help but smile back as he leaned over her and kissed his way down her body. He took her hand in his, gripped it tightly and focused on the areas that made her make the best noises.
“What are you doing?” she asked him curiously but happily as he kissed her thigh.
“Do you want me to stop?,” he asked her gently and she very softly said no.
He pleased her, feeling her surprise and cradling her hips. He reached up with one hand and took hers again before he pulled himself up to her. She lay trembling under him and reached up to hold him, rubbing his back tenderly and needy. Lindsey slowly removed his clothes, watching the young woman’s body and tempting himself. Gi felt his body press close to hers and she liked the way his strong body felt against her skin. His arms lay protectively beside her, he looked into her eyes and she felt him slip between her legs and enter her. She squeezed him tight and he continued slowly, feeling her relax a little more all the time. She felt possessed by him and completely his and for the first time in her imagining, it felt wonderful. He held her and stroked her and strove for her pleasure and she was glad that he enjoyed it too. His arms slipped under her, holding her close to him and he eventually lay on top of her, staring into her eyes. For a short time they were silent.
“You seemed surprised,” he told her gently.
“I did not know it was possible for a woman to feel that way,” she answered him matter-of-factly.
He looked at her with sad eyes, kissed her and his sadness disappeared. “That’s a crime,” he whispered.
Gi was pushed into some machine, surrounded by her enemies, and taken effortlessly and very fast to somewhere far from her savior. She begged them to let her go but they said nothing. Strong by Velvet Chain
I'll be right along
'Cause baby you're so
Strong...
Baby I see - You're vulnerable to me
That's your power over me
Baby, baby, I know - It's always been so
Physical love is oh so meaningful for you
You write love letters to me - strong
You know how to talk to me - so strong
Baby, I'm yours - you know
Because you're so, so strong
You would fight for me
You would starve for me
You would suffer for me
You would die for me
Well, I feel the same way too
You know I feel that way about you
I know you're mad about me
You've shown me because you're so, so strong
