Hello everyone, i just wanted to know if do any of you buffy fans live in a area called wolverhampton or anywhere in the west midlands? because i think this area is getting more aggresive and violent. Back when i was a kid like at the age of 5 i used to think wolverhampton was a nice area, but during the last few years it seems to be getting voilent that i can't stand leaving the house because i'm always am afraid that i might get attacked.
This morning i was on a but going to work (it was my first day by the way) and these 3 youths got on and one of them didn't pay enough money to get on the bus and one of the youths looked violent and moved towards the bus driver and went "what, what, what, what, what" for like 2 minutes none stop and was moving closer and closer and it was just horrible to see this first thing in the morning. However, the youths had to get off straight away and they shouted out the racist word "PACKI" because the bus driver is asian. This town seems to be getting worse and i am dying to leave this town.

I live in Stoke-on-Trent and hate it here. There are so many arrogant and rude people around, I hate walking about on my own as there are always gangs of people hanging around the streets in the evenings, and fights outside the pubs. Luckily the area I live in isn't too bad, but some places round here are awful. I get the bus every day and there are some awful people that get the bus, so I know what you mean, it is horrible. My best friend lived in Wolverhampton for a few years (she is in Birmingham now) but I don't think she had any trouble, not that she mentioned anyway, and I have only been there a few times so don't really know what it is like there. It sounds bad though and I am sorry to hear you feel scared to go out I am quite lucky as I work in a really nice place, and my boyfriend goes everywhere with me when I am not at work, so I rarely have to go out on my own. I probably wouldn't go out as much if I was on my own as I have an anxiety disorder and get really scared easily anyway. I come from a really small town in Wales so really dislike the loud busy city life anyway, especially with this sudden surge in yobs and anti-social behaviour and violence I hope your new job went well though

I'm so sorry that you live in a bad area too whitecandy. I'm too scared to leave the house nearly all the time but i don't tell my parents otherwise they'll lecture me and will say things like "you get scared too easy, you need to stay strong and keep going out" when really i've recentley have been getting worse and i don't know how long i can put up with this because i've got other problems that i need help with and i'm just scared to make a living. I'm supposed to be getting a appointment date to see a therapist soon and even that's been taking months. My job is good, i hope i'll enjoy it more in the future.

I live in Birmingham, its kinda bad sometimes. It's all the drunken idiots. Most of the racism and ignorance comes from people that have just come from the football. Or the pub late at night.

That really sucks for you harm. I say as soon as you can move far away. I lived in a not so good environment my whole life. And I got out. You shouldn't be afraid to go out of your own house. Senseless violence and racism is so played out.

I used to like going out to town but now i hate going there and even though i want to buy something i'm too scared to go to the shops. They seem very homophobic as well. I remember seeing a asian guy a few years ago and he had blood all over his nose and he was walking away and these 2 youths were walking behind him and it was obvious that they attacked him and the police were walking behind the attackers and taking their time to sort out the problem. I thought to myself why is it that violence has happen and they are still letting the 2 youths walk behind the guy who got attacked and the police seem to be way behind the youths. And the worst part was that everybody found it hilarious that he was beaten and everybody at the bus station just thought it was fascinating.

I know what you mean. I used to live in the area and although it didn't bother me, it was pretty bad. There seems to be a lot of racism towards the asian community in the West Mids and I really don't get it. Our local shop was called "The Packi Shop" by locals and kids used to give them grief and steal things all the time.
