"Goners" and "Serenity 2" are probably the most likely Jossverse movie follow-ups to Avengers. Don't forget about Dr. Horrible 2.

I actually feel that "No Future for You" and "Wolves at the Gate" have far outshone anything Joss has written this season (actually... "A Beautiful Sunset" was pretty awesome so I'll give him that). I think it's more to do with creator communication and a good set of writers than it is about Joss doing things himself. Wasn't he quite uninvolved during the majority of Angel (at least compared to Buffy) and it was still an amazing show. If Joss lays out a detailed plan for the series, and Dark Horse keep things well organised, things should be okay. *fingers crossed*

This is gonna be seen a sacrilege to alot of yall...
But perhaps its time to let someone other than Joss Whedon have a shot a writing and directing Buffy. Its the only way the franchise will really be able to grow out of being just a popular 90's teen show. To help it be more than about just a few people that made this one show.

^^ Do you mean sucess+fame=more power at darkhorse/FOX? I wonder if we would finally get a Buffy movie in that case. Yeah... where James Marsters can be cast as a prettified Master, without hours of make-up, and the rest of the gang suffer midlife crises, while trading inappropriately-timed sex puns while juggling slaying with diet plans, colonoscopies, cholesterol checks, and balding. Haha! Thanks for the visuals. They made for a nice chuckle!!!
