I know a lot of people have grown tired of them, but I still find the plots interesting. I-III are by far the bests, but I enjoy the other sequels too. It's said that VII will be the finale film, and I can't wait! I have high hopes for the last installment. And Amanda is a brilliant character, IMO; Always a favorite of mine.

Yeah, lucky that VII is the final film, otherwise, we'd have a Saw VIII. No kidding. The only Saw movie I watched was Saw IV. These days, every time a new Saw movie is annoucned, I just roll my eyes and go 'why?' imo they should have stopped at II or III, but they're dragging the story out for money really

I think mixing the two plots together is a great idea, since the last three films have been all connected, and a bit slow moving. I think having more plot in the last film will make it not as slow. Well, if you've only seen Saw IV, I really can't take your interest in it to heart; Since IV is one of the worst(Along with V), IMO. Plus, IV really is the twin of III, so seeing only one half of the story may have been confusing, and some of the twists probably didn't make sense either. I'd say: Go watch the first three films, as they are brilliant.

I really like Shawnee Smith, but I've never liked Saw, outside of the first one. I just think there are a lot better horror films out there.

I really enjoyed the first Saw, and want to watch it again sometime. I did watch the second one, but didn't enjoy it at all and found it a little boring, so have not bothered with any of the others. I may try and watch them all at some point though.

It's been confirmed that Cary Elwes will be reprising his role as Dr. Lawrence Gordon in Saw VII! -Happy dance- I was so hoping the rumors were true! Ah! I really feel that VII is going to be amazing, even more so then I thought before. Now I'm more angst-y to get my hands on this film.
They say he has a very big role in the last installment, so that's pretty spectacular news. To me, at least. xD I added him into the Main Cast Section in the first post.

I really liked the first Saw movie, mostly because it was such a unique and new concept, one that hadn't been seen before. I found a few scenes hard to stomach the doctor cutting his own foot off springs to mind, eeuuugghh But overall, a very well-made film. The second one I can't watch anymore. These days I have a hard time watching anything with extreme violence or mass hysteria and the scene where the guy is stuck in the furnace and all the girls are screaming hysterically made me panic so much the last time I watched it that my boyfriend had to turn the TV off, after which I immediately burst into tears. I haven't seen any of the others, even though my boyfriend and I own the third one. I think I'm worried that a) it will get even more brutal or b) it will end up being really bad because it's getting drawn on for too long.

The third is very, very good, imo. ^.^ If you are worried about the plot getting dragged out, I'd stop after three. Those are the really great ones, whereas the following sequels are not as great(Although still enjoyable).

The film has been pushed back a week, to October 29th. And it's official title is Saw 3D.
The link posted in the reply above also has the first released poster. I found a 3D digital version of it somewhere earlier, but cannot find it at the moment. It was pretty cool.
I'm getting ready to watch that trailer. I'm super excited. I think this is my most anticipated movie to see. ^_^

I'm getting excited for this to come out. But come on there are enough 3D movies already I'm starting to get sick of this stupid trend.

I'm waiting for leaked footage of the first eight minutes. ;D I heard the preview will include Mark Hoffman and Lawrence Gordan scenes, which is exciting news. The first new footage of Dr. Gordon since he crawled away in Saw!
And that trailer was so awesome. Poor Jill. It looks like she's a goner there... Which makes me think she'll live. Why would they show her death cause in the trailer, and so obviously? Plus, I think she's smiling, and nothing seems to be holding her arms, unless they are thin wires or ropes.

Well, there's been an eight minute preview shown at comic con. It's the FIRST eight minutes of the film. I found a description of it, and here's what happens. Spoilers. The film opens with Dr. Gordon crawling down the dark hallway. We can see his stump leaving a trail of blood. It's all new footage of him! He grabs a hold of a burning hot pipe, or something, and pulls back. After a few seconds, Gordon starts to cauterize his wounded leg/foot/ankle/whatever. So it's obvious that he lived through that. But it doesn't say what happens to him next. :X Then it goes on to show the 'Public Trap'. Once the trap is shown and finished, it cuts to the title, 'Saw 3D'. And... OVER! Cannot WAIT. ;D

I spent a whole day one time watching Saw 1-4. I find them really interesting in terms of plot twists and how cleverly designed the traps are, but I felt that after I finished the 4th that they were just dragging the premise a bit too much. Plus I don't think I could have watched another one that day because I probably would have vomited. Especially, I think it was the third one, that had the one trap with the pig corpses being cut up and someone about to drown in them. Where I literally threw up in my mouth a little. Most disgusting thing of all time.

Totesally. I don't remember what movie in the series it was, but Julie Benz starred in it. Saw V. It's been said that her character lived through the film, but won't be in the last one. She will be mentioned though.

I remember seeing Saw, with the twist at the end and just going Oh....My...God. No way! I just thought the music was awesome, and just an incredible twist. I thought the second one was pretty good too, but not as good as the first. I was able to guess the twist at the end of that. I haven't seen any of the other ones, but would consider giving them a chance out of respect for these two movies.

III is probably my favorite, actually, and it has the best ratings on review sites, I believe. The first three are definitely the best, but the others are still decent enough to watch.
