I can't say I know much about body building contests, but just a warning: when bodybuilders stop lifting weights, if they were really beefy, all the muscle turns into flab.
Oh, the things you learn in Anatomy class.

I'm not planning on getting really beefy because then i'd stuggle to move. I just want to look good. The ones that you're thinking about are the incredible hulk ones, lol.

Okay, good. The extremely big and beefy bodybuilders aren't attractive. But my cousin is sort of an amateur, and objectively, he looks pretty good.

I feel the need to clarify that the stomach vacuum is not actually a vacuum of any sort...it's a way of moving your ab muscles....you guys got that, right? Lol!

Crunches help the stomach and abs This is actually a Myth www.articlesbase.com/weight-loss-articles/losing-stomach-fat-why-ab-crunches-dont-work-1199401.htmlYes it stregthens ab muscles but if you have a layer of fat on your tummy it wont do anything to get rid of it. The only thing to do is eat properly mixed with cardio. Make sure you talk to your doctor before changing your exercise and diet and don't push too hard, (you will end up hurting yourself not helping). I started running not that long ago but I had to give it up because of my weak ankles, I ended up spraining one and straining the other and I was running a basic beginner schedual. Now I swim. It really is the perfect exercise, it works every muscle in a weightless enviorment. But it is easy to strain muscles so make sure whatever you do you take it slow, and have a warm up and cool off period.

Hey, girl in question i actually thought you was talking about a actual vacuum, lol.
So if I want to do bodybuilding, I should try to lose fat from my stomach and just do weights for now?

Hey, girl in question i actually thought you was talking about a actual vacuum, lol. Haha. Yeah, the name is really misleading. But it's just a way of holding your abs while you do other workouts.

I think I want to do yoga now... Ah! Very um... "hot" yoga indeed... I have a yoga DVD that I used to follow but I don't really like doing it alone, also the instructor doesn't look anything like those guys. Maybe if he did, it'd be a whole different story, lol. So I started going to a yoga studio which I like a lot. The hot yoga is insane, and you sweat so much. The only problem is the studio is far away, so when the weather is bad, it's hard to find the motivation to go. On the plus side, it's very relaxing. I like it when there are a lot of people and we're all doing the same poses in our own individual way. That's kinda neat. I know I would have to go regularly to tighten up the tummy. That's kinda my goal too.

I don't but my wife does and she looks great for it. She does cardio and weight lifting. It's given her a cute butt and great muscles.

I was watching an episode of a reality tv series called MADE yesterday and it was about a fat boy who had to quit eating junk food and start training to become a bodybuilder. And he only had a short amount of time to do it, like about 2 months and he had to compete at a muscle beach bodybuilding competition. He had a personal trainer with him who forced him to do all these excersises and i was amazed watching it because thats what i want to do as well. I was really angry thinking, how come a fat boy is already entered for bodybuilding competition when i'm not fat like him and i want to go through the same thing as he did in order to become a bodybuilder.
And oh yeah, I've got my new 50kg weights today. woo hoo!!!!!!!

I often don't bother 'cos I seriously lack willpower. But I have a friend who is very fit and healthy. She does a lot of running and swimming, and she also drinks a lot of water (people underestimate how important and good for you drinking large amounts of water really is!)
