Hey you guys, I just wanted to ask if do any of you workout? Its because i look kinda skinny and i've got a chubby belly and i'm trying to look good for a change. I am now using weights, well i'm doing just curls at the moment to make my arms bigger. Does anyone know how to lose a chubby belly because i've got a chubby belly and i know running helps, but what other excerise will get rid of my chubby belly?

Honestly, I don't exercise very much, other than walking a lot. My sister works out and she gets those cardio salsa DVDs cause she likes to dance adn workout. they seem like fun, lol.

I don't exercise but I've always been naturally skinny. However on the few occasions I do exercise, I know that doing the stomach vacuum helps you keep/get a tinier waist. Do that while you workout, or even just while walking or going up and down stairs. You should look up how to do it. It's easy and all the tiny-waisted people do it

I too am trying to lose a few lubs. I've been trying to do a lot of running, but I can't get myself motivated a lot of the time. I did 20 minutes today, but I wish I did more.

For your arms you need to work on your triceps more than bieps, but you need to work both for the best effect. For losing weight off your stomach, aerobic exercise is best combined with sit-ups, but you shouldn't need to do thousands of them, sometimes it is just down to your body type and being naturally lean. The only exercise I do is walking, horse riding and playing on my Wii Fit, but my boyfriend has a degree in sports science and exercises, plays football and goes to the gym regularly, so I asked him for his advice for you

Thanks you guys, you are all very helpful. I'm supposed to be getting new wieghts around next week, plus i'm watching the active channel which is quite fascinating at times.
I do sit ups but i know there are differences between sit ups and crunches. But i've tried a couple of times doing the crunches but i'm not sure if am i doing it right.

i need to start working out again today.... what i do to workout is for 1 week i do like 40 situps, 10 pushups, weight lifting, crunchs, and a few more things, but after all of that i go in the pool and do a few laps. Then the next week i do five more of everything, and then you get the drift.

I also eat 3 fruits a day. I eat an orange, apple and a banana. I need to start drinkin nutrument because i don't drink milk at all. I don't go to the gym because i just don't like working out in public, i don't like it because people might stare and laugh at me. Thats why i'm doing weights at home, so i won't make a fool out of myself.

I'm not sure if this will help but I usually walk five to six miles a day with weights around my ankles. I also do sit-ups (around one hundred-ish). Thats about it for me. Occasionally I'll do chin-ups (usually around fifteen. lol). Seems to be working for me. I need to gain more muscle though.

I hear that swimming is the best workout (for most people anyway), but since it isn't quite swimming season yet, I'd recommend some kind of workout video. Most of the dance ones are too hard for me, but there is this 10 minute Target Toning video that I can watch instantly through Netflix that I like a lot. There are ten minute segments on legs, arms, stomach, butt, and stretching.
Aside from exercise, if you want to lose a few pounds, I would definitely suggest cutting out soda and other drinks where the first ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. I read an article that said just drinking one can of soda a day can make you gain ten pounds in a year.

I'm not sure if Target Toning is exactly what I'm looking for, but I never thought of looking there for other workout videos. Thanks!

two tips.
Tip #1) Try out this diet: Don't eat anything, and when you feel like you're going to faint, eat a cube of cheese.
Tip #2) Try getting the stomach flu more often :]

I lift weights and run - I'd like to do this twice a week, but right now I manage once. It's better than nothing though, but I don't get any musclier, which I would like. I do kind of keep up my shape, though.

Anyone interested in toning up their thighs and stomach should try some long sessions of rising trot on a horse (especially a fat little tank like the one I ride!), hurts like mad the next day but works a treat!!

Thanks you guys, however i'm not really a huge fan of swimming. I'd like to keep on exercising and if I really enjoy it, i'd like to do bodybuilding and i'd like to compete for something like the junior bodybuilding thingy. How old do you have to be to compete for junior bodybuilding championships?
