I'm new here & it was suggested I get a Watcher. I'm from Australia & probably one of the oldest on this Forum. My favourite character is Tara,my favourite episode is New Moon Rising & my favourite season is Season Four. I'm particularly interested in finding anyone of this Forum that may've attended Moonlight Rising 2003,a BtVS Convention held at Friar Tuck Resort in the Catskills, upstate New York. Thanks

I'll be your watcher My Favorite character is Anya, but Tara is a very close second, my favorite episode is Selfless, but obviously Tabula Rasa is up there on my list, and I'm a big season 3 person. And I didn't attend Moonlight Rising 2003 upstate but I am from NY If you want to find people who did you can start a thread on the forum and see if anyone bites You can PM me anytime if you need help or just want to talk Whedon

Hi & thanks for being my Watcher. I'm always surprised when Tara fans say that Tabula Rasa is one of their favourite episodes. Seeing Tara pack up & leave, although she had good reason, always breaks my heart. I think I've only watched it a couple of times.
Whereabouts in New York are you from. I spent a couple of nights in the city on my way to & from the Convention but kept pretty close to the hotel in case I got lost!

See I love Tabula Rasa because I was so worried about the episode that would come after the musical episode being a let down and then Tabula Rasa was so good and the ending always makes me cry between the shots of willow, tara and giles between the shots of Michelle Branch (my favorite singer) playing Goodbye to You (my favorite song), so for me it was perfect, even though we kinda lost Tara. And I'm from the city, and yea its pretty daunting, i still get lost sometimes, thank god for the gps on iphones

I kinda liked the feel of NYC & felt safe enough to go to an internet cafe around midnight! There were just so many people around. And when I asked for directions to find a bank near Central Park people were really friendly. The only minor incident was when I went to the Port Authority to catch my bus upstate & a guy offered to show me the way. I went along with him 'cos I figured he worked there-we were even alone in a lift-but then he asked for money. I didn't have any small notes but he seemed happy enough with the change I gave him. It could have been so much worse. I also nearly missed the courtesy bus from JFK to the hotel 'cos I went to a newstand & was reading a magazine with Alyson Hannigan on the cover & the guy went crook 'cos I moved away from the pick up point! Sorry for the non-Buffy ramble.
The Convention was awesome, one of the highlights of my life. Meeting Amber Benson still brings a smile to my face. Tony Head,James Marsters,James C Leary,Adam Busch & Chris Golden were also on the bill. I can't believe I'm having trouble finding anyone else who was there!
