In some legends, vampires aren't exactly obsessive-compulsive, but one of the myths is that they love to count. Villagers would put out large grains of seeds so that when the vampire comes, he feels compelled to count the seeds, cuz they can't move on until they do and the large pile meant they would be there until sunrise
This myth was actually shown in Dracula II: Ascension, in which they put a number of seeds around the captive Dracula, so that if he tried to escape, he would have to count the seeds and give them the chance to capture him again. Unfortunately, when he did escape, he had already counted them

I think there was a Queen who used to bathe in virgins blood to stay young. That's probably the Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Funnily enough, in one of the Tales of the Slayer stories (not the comics, the prose ones), she was a vampire who killed a Slayer. |

This did used to cross my mind from time to time, especially in regards to Twilight when Edward's all like "The frenzy begins when we smell blood" or whatever it was. I was all like "Oh dear, what's gonna happen when Bella gets her period. This could lead to badness." |
