So hypothetically if a person has more than one soulmate (because of the practicalities of different countries etc), what happens when a person meets two of their souulmates at the same time?

So hypothetically if a person has more than one soulmate (because of the practicalities of different countries etc), what happens when a person meets two of their souulmates at the same time? Yes, see, this is my problem with believing in romantic soulmates. Always reminds me of a quote from the movie Ever After: "Then let's say... God... puts two people on Earth and they are lucky enough to find one another. But one of them gets hit by lightning. Well then what? Is that it? Or, perchance, you meet someone new and marry all over again. Is that the lady you're supposed to be with or was it the first? And if so, when the two of them were walking side by side were they both the one for you and you just happened to meet the first one first or, was the second one supposed to be first? And is everything just chance or are some things meant to be?"

I don't believe in soulmates. I believe we can call people soulmates, as a title of sorts, like "love" and "darling" and 2the one" but I don't think one person is destined to be with another person. No force controls who we're with, and we're not born, missing another half.
But I'm open for the idea. However, if someone said "I meet my soulmate, he was my neighbour", I would question it. Assuming there isn't some force guiding us, how likely is it that the soulmates just happened to live next to each other? Isn't it just as likely that if that first person had lived somewhere else, she could find that kind of love anyway?
I mean, if there are soulmates, true, one of a kind soulmates, and there isn't some force guiding us, isn't it likely that mine isn't born yet, or lives in a town I'll never visit?
So I believe there are several people, all over the world, that I could find absolute bliss with, and some that I would just be moderatly happy with. No one is my soulmate, but I bet one or several of them could make me think he/she were the one.
In a prefect world, I would meet all those people, and live with them in a huge happy family. Without feeling like I didn't have enough time for all of them (Eric, get your mind out of the gutter, I meant non-sexual quality time!... And sexual quality time...).
This kind of thinking is kind of sad tough. Because I could be extremely happy with someone, and yet wonder "Is there someone out there who is a even better match for me? Someone that could make me even happier?"
Or maybe that is the soulmate? The one that I would love above all others, even if it's just a little bit, that's out there somewhere (that's still alive/that's born on Earth that is, I'm not talking about through history and space).
I suppose that's one definition of a soulmate. The best you can do.

You say we weren't born missing another half, but I feel as though I was. I feel like I'm only half a oerson waiting to meet the right someone. And I imagine I'm not alone in feeling this.

I know for sure that I wasn't born missing the other half of me. Frankly, I have too much me.

I feel something similar, the need not to be alone. But not like I'm looking for a specific person, but as if I should surround myself with friends and family, and maybe make a family of my own one day. Like that would make me feel more happy, more complete. More love, more fun.

I believe in what I can see. And I can't see souls.

I believe that people have soulmates, but that doesn't mean that there is only one person for everyone. That doesn't mean that these people never argue or fight, or anything else. I believe it is what draws certain people together, despite the hardships. I like to think that even if there are other people in your lives from time to time that you'll end up with the person that you're meant to. But i've always been a bit of a romanticist.

Yes I've always believed in soulmates...well except in my darkest, most cynical hours. I remember watching Babylon 5 years ago and soulmates were part of the story-line. These connections/loves/sparks we have with people in our current lives are from old souls meeting again from prior times & lives. I like this concept that we can meet our loved ones time & time again. Meaning our loves & friendships never truly end. I believe recently I may have found a lady I have a connection with : D

No, I don't believe in soulmates. Not anymore. I'm probably a lot more cynical now when it comes to love, relationships and soulmates due to my last relationship bust up *shudders*, so now I just go for what is real, which imo none of the above are. Like I said, cynical
