His coat is a bit to billow-y for my taste, but otherwise, WOW.

ah, now i see, it's the same background as a cover for issue 1.
Spike's a bit more "shiny" than the background tough, while the angel issue is more balanced. unless it's just the quality of the pic.

I have a black and white version of the cover, and it appears that Franco redrew it all...or at least used a lightbox to trace.
Either way, the entire cover is re-colored from scratch.
