Does anyone know whether the variant covers for Spike AtF will be 1:2 or 1:4?

The "human face" variant will be available at a 1:2 ratio, the "Grindhouse" cover will be available at a 1:10 ratio, and there will also be a virgin edition of that cover available at a 1:25 ratio.

I really like the Grindhouse cover - but if I cannot get that I think I will end up getting the vampface cover. Dont like the colours on the other one too much.

I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the amount of variants IDW is putting out. Spike ATF issue 1 has NINE variants. NINE? Are you kidding me? If I recall correctly, the last issue of Angel had as many variants as well. The number of variants going up as a series goes on is a straight up slap in the face.
I've been collecting all covers for Buffy Season 8, Angel ATF and the Spike books, but now I'm done. I'll be buying one cover only...to read...because I love these books. However, my collecting days on these books is over on principle. IDW isn't getting that much money from me anymore.
Still, awesome books. Although, to be honest, I think Spike ATF is a little unnecessary, but decent for sure.

Spike ATF issue 1 has NINE variants. Nine? I only count 7. (Well, 8 including the main cover.) Are there 2 I don't know about?

Oh trust me folks, there are nine (9) covers total for issue number 1 of Spike After the Fall and although I feel the same as Ericdra (see his comment above) I will probably still (foolishly) buy as many of the variants as I can. I don't know why I do it, but I do. For instance, I picked up issue 1 of Serenity "Better Days" Dark Horse Special Edition 100 - 1 of 1000 copies for $20. And now that I own it, what do I do with it? Sell it for $30. Probably not. Well then if I don't sell them, why purchase 9 issues of the same comic just because it has 9 different covers?
Maybe someone should write a book. In the meantime I agree that IDW is "out of control". I mean, c'mon, NINE DIFFERENT COVERS of the same comic?
HOWEVER, as long as I am here, can someone, perhaps Queeroid, tell me where I can purchase Spike issue 1 DIAMOND RETAILER SUMMIT EXCLUSIVE variant??
Here are the nine coves: 1) Cover A - $3.99 2) Cover B - $3.99-$4.99 3) Cover R1A - $4.99-$7.99 4) Cover R1B - $9.99-$15.00 5) Diamond Retailer Summit Exclusive - $?.?? 6) New Dimension Comic (cover RE) - $7.99 + shipping 7) TFAW (Things From Another World) exclusive (cover RE) - $3.99 + shipping 8) Apocalypse Comics (cover RE) - $?.?? 9) DF (Dynamic Forces) (cover RE) - $10.00 + shipping
Please remember that the prices will vary depending on the seller. Like for instance cover R1A can go for $4.99 online but cost $7.99 at the comic book store. Same for cover R1B which goes for $9.99 online but $15.00 at the comic book store.
But any way you slice it, that's still waaaaaay too many covers.

I have been buying both covers for Buffy seaosn 8 and am only missing a few for After The Fall (my choice though) but for Spike After The Fall seen as it is only four issues I'm just getting one copy of the best cover and then getting the TPB.

I'll probably be selling all of my variants on Ebay soon for anyone who's interested.

So, lol, that actually makes 10 covers for issue #1.

There will be 1 copy given to each retailer who attends the upcoming summit. We're probably gonna have to wait until the retailers sell them on eBay before we can get our hands on them.
