I am so excited for you guys to see this series, you have no idea. I’m excided more, Mr. Lynch!!! It made my day! Really! You have no idea how I’m eagerly waiting for these series. Your series exited me even more than Joss’s final Season 8 arc with Spike. No Riley on Spike's series, pls... I'd love to see Willow and yeah, it's logical... and uhhh... what about Buffy? p.s. Mr. Lynch, I’d like to ask you something. As I’ve mentioned in my previous post I’ve read somewhere (in some forum I think…) you’ll put a connection between your Spike’s series and Buffy Season 8. When I’ve read about the appearance of a Buffy’s comics popular character I’ve guessed it could be that connection… Can you confirm it officially? Thank you for your answer!

My guess is that Willow's line "This gonna be good" when she sees Spike's ship in #35, has something to do with her appearance in Spike comics. Looking forward to your comic, Brian! I suspect that by that time my Spuffy dreams will be crushed completely - but, nevertheless, it will be nice to have my Spike fix monthly.

I'm not confirming anything. I want people to be surprised! Well, thanks Mr. Lynch! I love to be surprised. And I hope the surprises would be good, not like Twilight revealing and flaying Bangel f**k, which ruined my favorite character Angel and my Spuffy dreams. I've just read your comment on Whedonesque " This series is gonna be full of surprises and fun and dark moments and romance." Wow!!! Sounds GREAT! I can't really wait! And I'd love to see some romantic moments with Spike, but please not a kinda "flaying sex" or Willingham's like "Felicia Valentine" situations. Btw - what about Spike's strange flying machine? Will it appear on your series? Jeanty said Spike maybe won it in a card game and they are in Vegas so it could make sense...

Well, I'm looking forward to this with more hope now that I know it's actually happening. And I'm happy to see Illyria on the cover, so that's cool. Not liking Willingham's work right now, but this has me excited. And a possible Willow appearance? Cool

I don't think that's Willow. Satsu is my guess. "The series will also feature an appearance by a popular Whedonverse character who’s only ever appeared in the BUFFY comics (and her own one-shot there, if that hint wasn’t enough before)." 1) ONLY EVER APPEARED IN THE BUFFY COMICS. Willow was on the show. Therefore, not a candidate. 2) Willow did have her own one-shot, but there was also a one-shot that featured Satsu and Kennedy. However, it was basically a Satsu story. It wasn't really differentiated the way the "Willow" one shot was (with its own title and everything as separate from the other Season 8 comics), but it was still essentially a one-shot. 3) Willow would never wear THAT. However, I'd buy Satsu wearing it. Also, I'd imagine Urru would have made the character look more "Willow" like. Of course, this is all assuming that we don't already know who the other girl on the cover is, and I just missed it somewhere. In which case, I still think the character is Satsu. See my first two points. Of course, I could be wrong. (Although, if I am, shame on Urru for making Willow look like THAT.) EDIT: After some thinking, actually, I guess I took my first point rather literally. It could just mean that IDW hasn't used that character yet. In which case, I change my guess to Satsu, Harmony, or Faith (who had one-shots, though they were all essentially part of a storyline. Except not really.). Pretty much anyone BUT Willow.

But the line "if that hint wasn't enough before" would make no sense if it weren't the obvious guess, and that's Willow. Plus Spike doesn't even know Satsu it would be a bit of an anti-climax

epitahtwo, that girl is most likely Beck, from Asylum, Shadow Puppets and Angel Atf (brief apperance). It sure looks like Beck, both body, heair and clothe-wise.

That makes sense. I don't recall her from AtF, though?
Well, if it IS Beck, and not the Buffy-centric character that was hinted at, I do suppose Willow makes the most logical sense as a guess, but I just don't see it. Storywise, she only ever briefly interacted with the Angel gang. I would guess at Faith moreso than Willow. When Faith was around, she had a much bigger impact on Angel and Co.
However, if that ISN'T Beck, I still keep my theory. >=]

And Beck was the girl(In AtF), who George tried to contact. She was the one, I believe, who turned on the TV, and saw LA in a normal state.

She was in a few panels, when Betta George tried to reach out to the "real" world, to get help, but she didn't believe the telepathic message he sent her. I can't remember in which issue, probably after issue 9. I don't think she was named, but it was clearly her.
EDIT
Damn your quick fingers vampslayer.

When Faith was around, she had a much bigger impact on Angel and Co. I'd argue that Willow has almost as much interaction with Angel and his gang as anyone else from Buffy, with the exception of Wes, of course. While Faith had more screen time, Willow appeared in 3 episodes of Angel, and I imagine she had plenty of off screen time with them. She came all the way the LA to deliver the news that Buffy was dead, and also restored Angel's soul AGAIN... BTW, the 3rd appearance was her on the phone with Cordy, but still, on the show.
