Definalty Brian I am really really really excited for this. It's like he's FINALLY gotten his own show!  I really agree with this, it's my reaction as well. I think it'll be great to roll with Spike for a long term basis and hopefully see some storylines & elements that develop gradually that just couldn't be crammed into separate mini-series. |

I'm excited about the SPIKE series because it will be the first time, really, that Spike can head up long story arcs. That means growth for the character, that means building relationships over time, and that means really delving into Spike and what makes him tick. My goal is have a comic that fans of Spike can read and say "see, THIS is what I love about him" while people that don't dig him all that much can read and go "oh THIS is what people see in Spike." Sounds awesome. ...*sigh* I'm gonna be a comic booker for life now aren't I? My girlfriend will hate it. 1 Question: If this is an ongoing series now, will be be broken up into arcs like Season 8 or will it be more continuous like ATF? |

Definitely broken up into smaller stories, but with some arcs that run through the book for a while.

Illyria is out thought.. right? but she is going to be in Fallen Angel for like 4 issues, but set before she lost most of her powers in season 5 and it's not Canon right? I want her to be in the 'Spike' Comics...

I agree, the only difference now will be that both will have their own ongoing series. There will still be plenty of interaction between the two leads. And i also don't think that Illyria will be far off, she'll probaly be with either Angel or Spike(odds are more with Spike). |

Woah, three questions in a row. Gotta put my pressure-hat on.
Definitely not announced, more implied. Brian said that Spike is going to still be around Angel and stuff, so it would make sense that he'll bump into those characters. Not as regulars, but still there, likely. Not sure about it, hence the "probably" and "it seems," but it probably seems likely. Also, at ComicCon, when a question-asker asked who would be in the Spike series, Brian said a bunch of people from the show, old and current, would be popping in all throughout the series.

Since the series is about Spike looking in different places for a purpose, I'm not even sure we can assume there will be a steady-in-every-issue-circle-of-friends. Betta George isn't among the choices, though, as Brian said that he'll appear but he feels that the fish has had his time in the spotlight. Beck will have a bigger role.
