Brian did a great job capping the themes of AtF while passing the characters on to Only Human (where Scott Lobdell just nailed both voices and really had fun with the story; doesn't hurt to have Messina drawing your story, either). I've always found it interesting that Gunn doesn't really find his footing as a fully fleshed-out character until the comics. Maybe he should have been a vampire sooner in the series? I agree. My Gunn love grew quite a bit due to AtF, Epilogue and Only Human. I'd love to see a discussion about what having a soul/not having a soul means between Spike, Gunn and Angel. I think that you would get three unique perspectives. It would be great to have Gunn make an appearance in this Spike series. Seeing the two titles posted gave me a lift. The Spike series is really happening !

Will there be a comma between "Alone, Together Now"? Would sound better.

No, it's all one word. BUT if you want one, send me the copy and I will add it. I am not kidding, I will gladly add it. I want SPIKE to be the most enjoyable Buffyverse book ever. We're going all out. AND IF THAT MEANS ADDING A COMMA, SO HELP ME I WILL.

O frabjous day ! I've just reread Spike:After the Fall and I was struck by what a perfect characterization of Spike that was. I'm really looking forward to this series.

The only good thing to be coming out of IDW in regards to Angel as of late. And by late, I mean the past year

So the guest character that Lynch hinted at has been announced at the IDW panel at SDCC. It's Willow.

I knew it!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D That's so awesome. And she's 'trying to ruin his future', or something? Where did you hear that she's trying to ruin his future? So if Willow was in contact with Spike a year before season 8, she's presumably been holding out on Buffy? And would this explain why Willow seemed to recognize Spike's ship when it plowed into Twilight's HQ, and knew that it was friend and not foe?

But man, Will's been keeping quite a bit from Buffy these days. What's up with that?

Possibly. I don't see Willow trying to destroy Spike's future. Maybe Drusilla? You know, if she were anymore insane than she is
