Never understood the fascination with Noelle. Can we say plot device? You don't see the story potential in a character who can read people's minds right down to the amygdala, and gather them up and carry them around like a bunch of balloons? I'd love to see her working with Spike... him trying to use her for his own ends and keep her reined in, and her trying to get one over on him and use him for her own ends. Plus, she looks damned good in a pleather catsuit.

And as for the catsuit, honestly Andrew, imagine obsessing over a minor character just because you find them physically attractive. Shallow much?

Gotta weigh in here and say I found Noelle kinda forgettable. Apparently I'm missing the appeal of the catsuit. I didn't even know who you were talking about until Paul started discussing her as a plot device and then my brain went "Oh! That girl who was the plot device to show that Fred was truly not inside Illyria."
She doesn't even inspire the extreme negative reaction of Spider. Noelle is just...void.
I'm kinda hoping Non comes back. It'd fun having her as a recurring villain, perhaps rehabilitated girl. She was very interesting.

You guys are looking too much at what Noelle did in Spike: AtF, and not what she *could* do. This is a new story, you know. She would have the opportunity to do more stuff, like what I mentioned in my post up above.
I apologize for my catsuit comment. I should have taken her out to dinner and gotten to know her as a person before making such a crass comment about her.

Power potential making up for lack of character in a 'verse that's all about character? Nah. She's dish soap. She's bland. No personality.
There's potential in the power she possesses, but anything that's directly related to her? No. We might as well have another demon with her powers show up. One who has an interesting personality, too.

Wait, Noelle, the phsycic from Spike after the fall? Isn't it too early to judge if she's interesting or not, since we've hardly seen her? Or has she shown up somewhere else? Btw, being fascinated by characters in sexy suits and wanting to know more about them is perfectly normal, considering we're all meant to judge people and deem them "worthy". That how babies are made. *waiting to see how many people that followed my tired brain*

Spike should go to Jeremy's wedding, lol.
Beck is the only character I really want to see picked up and played with. I like most of the characters we met in Asylum and Shadow Puppets but they feel like guest stars in most places. How many times do we need to see David Nabbit?
I'd like to see Spike's second home again though.

IMO, Noelle hasn't displayed much personality so far, so I don't get why a lot of people really like her. That's all. Btw, being fascinated by characters in sexy suits and wanting to know more about them is perfectly normal, considering we're all meant to judge people and deem them "worthy". People get that I was being ironic right? Spike should go to Jeremy's wedding, lol. He could wear the suit he wore to Brian's wedding! ;D

Just because Noelle didn't show much complexity of character in Spike: AtF doesn't mean she doesn't have any. I want to find out more about her.
I don't know how her power compares and contrasts with George's. I do know she's a lot more willing than he is to use her power as a weapon or as a means of controlling people for something other than self-defense.

One who has an interesting personality, too. Can't George potentially do anything she can? He's way more powerful. And he's a fish. Good point! I don't really see why she's needed if George is around and I'd rather have George. As for her being willing to use her powers, seems more like she was willing to obey Non. Let's not forget that this was Non's righthand girl. And not in an interesting snarky Spike-to-Angel type of relationship. More of a 'I kiss your feet in gratitude for every order you give and lash you whip into my flesh' type of way. (Okay, might be slightly exaggerating but...) She was in enough page time to show some personality. There wasn't much there. Yeah, they can reboot her like how Darla was rebooted in AtS and became a really complex and fascinating character. But I don't really see the fan-need to bring Noelle back when she 1) has no personality and 2) her power is already shared by someone who does have a great character - George. Noelle would be at the bottom of my list of characters to bring back. Though she'd be above Spider. The background character not having time to establish personality doesn't fly for me. She was in enough pages to leave an impression. That impression was bland. A character can make his or her mark with just one line. I find an attachment to her character surprising - what's there to like except what she could be, not what she is? Compare Noelle to Jeremy. They were actually kinda like mirrors of each other in Spike: AtF. Difference being that besides getting some backstory on Jeremy's life that made him more three-dimensional, he also had an interesting way of snarking at Spike. People I'd like to see again because they're already interesting: Non, Jeremy, Beck, George. After that, I'd like some new characters, please. That and hopefully a strong dose of AtS crew (Angel, Gunn, Illyria, Connor, Lorne, Groo) whenever possible. ETA: My god, it's nice to actually have fun talking about Angel again. It's been a long time since that happened.

I would really like to see Jeremy again, I just don't know if we will, considering what happened to the guy. Spike would be reluctant to get him involved in anything, unless Jeremy's fiancee was kidnapped or something, and Jeremy came to Spike. If Jeremy does show up though, I am sure there will be a good reason for it. He really is a great character though. Probably my favorite Brian creation, along with George. Well, Beck and Tok as well. Brian just knows how to make new characters that are awesome. ;D

it's true brian might as well be a younger joss lol. He writes the angel part of the verse like he created it but not in a condescending way.

Ah, you just like anything in a pleather catsuit! Bet you're hot for that creepy bald woman as well. I'd actually like to see more of Spider because I hate her and want not to. It seemed like she was built up as an important character across AtF and then she amounted to sweet feck all. I'm willing to give her another chance, because right now she's a bit of an annoying stain.

Ah, you just like anything in a pleather catsuit! Bet you're hot for that creepy bald woman as well. Nah, bald women don't appeal to me. I think she's also missing a nose too, isn't she? Not cool. Plus, I'm pretty sure she'd hurt me. I'd actually like to see more of Spider because I hate her and want not to. It seemed like she was built up as an important character across AtF and then she amounted to sweet feck all. I'm willing to give her another chance, because right now she's a bit of an annoying stain. Noelle nearly snarfed Grappa out her nose when I told her you posted that. (Our dinner-date is going well. Afterwards we're going to go see "Inglorious Basterds" and make out in the back row. She doesn't mind that I think she looks hot in a catsuit, BTW.) She thinks Spider is an annoying stain, too. But I am more charitable than you two, it seems.

Jeremy definitely got more time to shine than Noelle, to be sure. I think Franco drew Noelle so cool that people took to her even though she didn't get any backstory or anything. I always thought of her as Non's girlfriend.

(How did a demon get named after Christmas, anyway?)

The one thing I liked about Noelle was how she died. Other than that, nothing I liked about her. Just some character there for show. Don't really like Spider either
