Okay. At first I found out that there would be one series, not too. Now it's not a Illyria-series.
Oh well, at least we will get one series. Now I need to delete parts of my blog.

Man, so sorry everybody, didn't mean to lead folks up the garden path! There's only the one mini-series, it stars all of the main cast, including Illyria and Wes, and I'm sure it'll be announced really soon. I was just kidding around and it ended up with people getting hurt.
There's gotta be a moral in here somewhere...

No reason to be sorry! faux excitement is still very exciting! you excited up my day! Besides, the things that i conjure up in my mind when i hear the phrase "illyria: the after school special" made this entire endeavor completely worth it.

Thanks for clearing this up Stephen! Although the idea of two new mini-series was extremely exciting, the fact that we are still getting one new one is great as well.
Going to move this to Giles' Library since it relates to the other topic there, at least until we learn more information.

OK, so there is still a new Mini-Series ? are you talking about Angel: Aftermath ? lol (I'm a bit lost) I hope that Fred/Illyria are still alive ... or even better, just Fred! .. Sheepish.  "Chris has given me permission to announce the new book. I think people will probably get it from the full version of this cover. Big hint: It is indeed an episode adaptation. That said, there's only one episode I would consider adapting, and this is it." From Mooney's blog. The only ep I can think of is 'Not Fade Away.' And I, for one, am excited. Was hoping for something new, but will defintiley be satisfied with something good and old. Especially if it's retold by Stephen. |

Damn, no Illyria: Before the Aftermath.
We all got a bit carried away there. I guess it just goes to show how excited we all are for more Angel.
So I guess here's what we've got coming up to enjoy:
After the Fall
Aftermath
Smile Time
Blood and Trenches
Not Fade Away
Not Fade Away was an epic episode, and I'm actually kinda glad to have an adaptation of it. My dream wish for it though would be several different adaptations of key scenes from various points of view. I'd love to read Lindsey's death scene from both Lindsey's perspective and Lorne's. I'd love to see Spike's offscreen battle with the Fell Brethren. There's so much stuff they could do with the comic book format that they couldn't do with the TV episode. I hope IDW takes full advantage of this.
