I've not been reading here much, but I read that Scott confirmed that there will be 2 books a month for season 9.
Does book mean one issue? I don't get it.
Also, Is there any other news on season 9?
Thank you!

I understand it to mean two separate series, with different titles, running concurrently and coming out the same month. Kind of like how Buffy and Angel ran concurrently on TV, or the Angel and Spike comics run alongside one another.

Darkhorse will be running like how IDW is currently running Angel. With multiple titles (at least two) a month.
Except everything Darkhorse puts out will be all about Season Nine.

My interview with Scott Allie can be found HERE. He elaborates on the structure of S9, and how the books will run. And as a point of clarification, a "book" in this context means a series. There'll be multiple series running concurrently.

I can't wait. This is going to be awesome. I still have to read the summaries for all of season eight though...CHEESE Summaries?

No, I understood, but I was more wondering why someone excited for Season Nine wouldn't want to... um, read Season Eight?

He or she probably can't afford the issues/trades or do not have direct access to buy/read them?
But I guess the idea of a new "season" of Buffy is enough to get any fan excited, even if they haven't caught up on the story. I dunno.
