We call it soft drink here too, that or fizzy drink, although soft drink can also mean juice and cordial.

It took me a while to learn too. I had to google images and everything before I got what soda was. And apparently non fizzy sugary drinks can be called lemonad, even if they don't have lemons in them... Right? Umm, what? No. Lemonade is lemon flavored.

^^ Okay. *erasing it from my brain* Then what is pink lemonade? Do you guys have pink lemons? Pink lemonade is lemonade that has been colored pinkish either artificially by dye or naturally by something like cherry juice. I have no idea why it exists. Personally, I'm fine with regular lemonade.

I know there's no pink lemons... I got that it was artificially flavored... Hence the winking smiley...
PS. I love how bitchy and condescending "..." can be. Love you Eric.

I knew the "pink lemons" thing was a joke, but how was I suppose to know you were joking about not knowing what pink lemonade was? You didn't know what regular lemonade was. (<--- Winking smiley.) ...

^^^ Lol, poor Eric . . .
And thanks for clearing that up for me Eric; well done Sky on cutting down on fizzy drinks. It must have taken lots of self-control. I'd also warn you to watch non-fozzy drinks like J20s and capri suns as these can have up to 40% of your daily sugar in them (and they seem so innocent, *sigh*).

I will eventually cut down on the fatty foods as well, but I'll stick to the candy, soft drinks and cookie-stuff for now.

^^^ Good decision, cutting down on too mnay things at once wouldn't be good for you; your body'd probably go into starvation mode and you'd end up gaining wait plus it'd be too hard and coudl weaken your resolve. I only mentioned it because I may have a minor capri sun addiction that I indulged totally until I checked the nutritional information- now I struggle with it and try to stick to 2 a day maximum.

I think when I go to uni alcohol will be a problem. People often don't notice how much sugar alcoholic drinks have in them, especially 'cos I like to drink really sweet drinks...

After drinking a soda at mcdonalds today I decided to stop going to mcdonalds, burger king, max, other burger restaurants and pizzaplaces. Hard to stop drinking soda otherwise, and that kind of food is so unhealthy. Other resurants are okay, or buying pizza at the food store and warming in the microwave.

I'm afraid I are quite a few cookies... I will try to be healthy in a week or two. My mother and I went out and bought masses of unhealthy food. I gather eating is what she does when she's craving comfort.

The woman running the shelter where i volunteer gave me a free pizza today. Like she wouldn't let me not take it. Thinks i'm a starving college student and I feel like I need to eat it 'cause it's free food. I can make that thing last like 4 days... but it's not the healthiest. *le sigh*
...she also gave me a tomato. o.O

^^ Oh scones, so jummy. I have to make some. I usually dislike baking for just me in my small kitchen/hallway, but now that dad is visiting, I might make the effort.
That's another thing to add to the "Healthy yet tasty" list. I will need to fill it up so I won't eat candy.

^^^ My Healthy yet tasty list:
- fruit (emphasis on raspberries, strawberries and clementines) - yoghurt (I'm thinking muller light not rolo yoghurt here) - scones (as you said) - fruit cake - carrot cake (if they have fruit and veg in them then they must be healthy, right?) - fish, like mussels, are actually really tasty. But then you add garlic, or batter, and it's not so healthy anymore . . .

Although most people don't think I have a weight problem, I'm always trying to lose. I find it helps me to take in about 100 calories each hour. It keeps the hunger under some control, and it's supposed to fool th body into giving up fat. It works for me, and I know other people who do the same thing. You might try to carrying a few apples or bananas with you.
Good luck!

- fish, like mussels, are actually really tasty. But then you add garlic, or batter, and it's not so healthy anymore . . . Mussels aren't fish!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you meant that fish and mussels are actually really tasty? lol. And garlic is healthy too. Batter on the other hand... well, no. But most seafood can be grilled or baked, and that's a lot healthier. Just use a lot of herbs and spices, and it'll be supremely tasty. A dash of oil will do ya... just to keep the food from sticking to the pan. Hey Sky, if you're hungry, fiber helps keep away the hunger. It keeps you full longer, and hey, as the Mayor says, it keeps you regular. So, whole grain pasta over the regular kind. Lots of fruits and veggies. Plenty of water. Or unsweetened fruit juice occasionally. Or skim milk. Best of luck with this endeavor of yours.
