I don't know if this has been mentioned...but in Surprise, Buffy and Dru were wearing the same dress in Buffy's dream. I've always wondered if this was simply an oversight by the costume department, or if it supposed to mean something? Maybe it was because in her dreams Buffy kept envisioning Dru killing Angel, when really Buffy herself "killed" Angel, in a sense, by taking his soul away, and then would later have to kill him for real.. Anyway, I am sure you were looking for a much more deeper and philosophical answer to this question, but I just don't have one right now.

Thanks for bringing that up. That scene is Surprise puzzles me, but I'm sure it wasn't accidental. It's as if Buffy and Dru are the same person, in some way? If there were a vampire Buffy in the wishverse, would it be Drusilla?
Drusilla in her human form was apparently vulnerable, tender, sensitive. In this respect she seems to resemble season 1 to early season 2 Buffy.
I don't have an answer to this, that's why I asked the question. But if there is an answer, it's probably in "Surprise," as you point out.
