I try not to but some (Batsu) are hard to avoid! I learned my lesson with spoilers during season 6 when Tara died. I wished I didn't read about that.

Hell to the N.O.
I hate being spoiled. It brings the excitement level down, knowing what's coming ruins the entire thing for me. Being surprised and not knowing what's gunna happen next is one of my favorite things about Season 8. (And movies and tv shows)

Depends on the show/comic/situation. If I'm able to catch an episode of, say, Lost within a week of US broadcast, which is possible thanks to Sky One, then I'll go out of my way to avoid the spoilers. If it's going to be a long time before I get to see the episodes the I'll probably check the odd spoiler or two. Well, that or just watch the show online. Regarding Buffy Season 8, I'm reading this as it comes out in trades, for the most part anyway, so there is no chance of avoiding knowing what happens. Therefore, totally spoiled.

I'm just impacient if the comics were weekly maybe id save myself haha See, that's my problem too. It's hard enough waiting a week between hour long episodes of a show but waiting a month for a story that only takes me thirty minutes tops to read (assuming I read very slowly!) is just not enough. That's why I stick with the trades and just accept the fact I'm going to know the story by the time I read it. But I might wait too if the comic was coming out weekly, hehe.

I read them now but if I read them while the show was on (i.e. knowing what happens with Tara in season 6), I would've been majorly pissed!!! It would've taken away the shock at that very moment for me. My heart literally dropped when I saw that...because I didn't expect it...which is what the reaction was supposed to be...and those that read the spoilers expected it, so they didn't experience just exactly how heartwrenching it was coming from nowhere. It really deters from the storyline...so I try to avoid them but find that I do read them on occasion. I won't be reading them for this arc, since my big focus is Willow's reaction to Buffy, and the entire Dracula thing! I would probably be able to read the story behind the bad vampire/wolves and wouldn't cry but I don't want to know some things! I want to experience them as they happen!!

I never do. Only one I've read about was Buffy and Satsu because, well, the internet kind of imploded that day.
