PaleyFest2008 Buffy Reunion- Discussion!!

Have any of you watched the PaleyFest 2008 Buffy Reunion? I watched it about a week ago.

It can be found on YouTube. If you havent seen it, it basically consists of the main Buffy cast sitting in a line on a stage facing an audience and having random questions thrown at them.

I just want to see what people thought of this...

Personally, I was really shocked by Seth Green's behaviour towards the rest of the cast. I thought he was so rude, arrogant and patronising, especially towards Amber Benson and Nicholas Brendon. I didn't get was his deal was. He pissed me off so much!! And i thought that his attitude was actually really disrespectful to the fans who'd bothered to go to the reunion or watch it online.

It's like Seth thought that he was better than everyone else there, like the size of his bank account made him so much more worthy. I hated the way he dodged questions (such as 'What are you going to be doing?') and gave really dumb, sarcastic answers. I really dont want to start swearing on this forum but he really disgusted me. Maybe he has short-man syndrome or something. Perhaps that's a suitable explanation.

But what do you guys think of the whole melodrama? You dont have to focus on Seth if you don't want to, I'd love to hear your views anyway.

I just found it depressing to see Seth deliberately try to make some of the cast feel uncompfortable. I really can't stand people who act like that. And i thought Charisma was an idiot for laughing at every single one of Seth's idiotic jokes. I mean, if she didn't like being there she shouldn't have turned up. Some of the cast weren't asked many questions but they didn't just laugh at the whole thing as if to say: 'Wow, this is all such bullsh**'.

It was good to see all of the cast together. I have so much respect for Amber Benson and can totally relate to Nicholas Brendon. But i just think Sath Green shouldn't have bothered to turn up.

I watched the video on youtube in 2008, and I did realise that Charisma was really close to Seth and it also sounded like Charisma said the word "idiot" whispering to Seth about Joss or someone else and because they've got those microphones on, it was obvious.

Seth is a joker and I don't think he disrespected anyone. Nor do I think he acted like he was better than anyone. I don't know what you're seeing. The rest of the cast seem to love him. They were having fun and it's really not that serious.

Also can you point out what parts of the reunion you think Seth was disrespectful or acted as if he were better?

Well at the beginning of the paley fest they were talking about OMWF which Seth wasn't in. So to add to the conversation he had to make jokes I don't think the crew was really uncomfortable, it was more "what do I say to that?" That is just Seth Green's demeanor and his humor. Watch Robot Chicken if you have any doubt.
side note, I love how James laughs... it always sound so evil

is this the dvd you could get free from bestbuy with a purchase a few years ago. I have watched that, i loved it. The cast was great together and great to see them after being away from each other for so long. Sarah doesn't do many fan get togethers or conventions. I got he dvd just to see her, wish she would come to dragoncon one year, man for that matter i wish they would do a reunion there one year, that is the closest convention to were i live.

anyways as for seth green i think he was just trying to be included. He is a funny guy as mentioned before he has robot chicken and i think he has a new internet show coming soon, he is just a hilarious guy. He probably felt left out and he is not one to just sit there and be bored

I can totally understand the part about him being bored. I laughed at some of his jokes but on the whole i didn't find him very funny; i guess that just me then I haven't see robot chicken.

Ok, i cant list everything at this moment coz its too long to watch the whole thing again. And also you really have to watch it to understand. But when Nicolas said something to Sarah, Seth said: "Does this guy even have a girlfriend?" That was undeniably rude and you could tell by Nicolas' face that he wasn't happy about that dig.

And ok, i know i've posted too many times already but what was Sarah's deal? Why couldn't she answer the question about what she has on her ipod. there were 2 questions (whats yr favourite movie and what's on your ipod), other people answered both but Sarah couldn't even say. I wanted to know, lol! I just thought that was a bit stuck up of her, treating such a simple fact as classified information or something. Anyway.

I was in the audience at the reunion, and Seth did not seem as bad as he may come off in the video. You've got to understand that he was feeding off of the crowd and the crowd was loving him. As a performer, if he gets attention he's going to keep it up. I thought he was actually pretty funny.

As for the ipod question, I can't speak to why Sarah didn't answer, but it could also have been attributed to audience reaction. When that person asked that question the audience let out a collective groan because someone had just wasted a once in a lifetime opportunity to ask the Buffy cast a question and it wasn't about Buffy.

Sarah is a private person... she answered the fav movie and the ipod question... "South Park bigger longer uncut, and the songs are on her ipod... if that is all she wants to share then that is all she wants to share. It isn't being stuck up, it is being on the spot, personaly i am wondering if the reason you brought it up was because Nicholas said something. if he had just gone on you wouldn't have noticed she game a 2 for 1 anwser... And just so you know double (or in your case triple) posting is against the rules here if you look to the top left of your post there is a modify selection, if you have more to add... use that

I have to go back and watch because I can't remember everything. I do remember Nicholas having a few awkward moments towards Sarah. I believe it was when he brought up the feud she had with some lady a while back on the Soap she was on. I kinda wish they would have questions already written down to ask the cast because the ipod question was just annoying and took so long to answer. So did the favororite movie question. I wanted people to ask more Buffy related questions. There were also times I wished Seth and Nick would zip it so they could move on to the next question. I love em but they were wasting time.

Now the question that I wanted Joss to answer was the Angel or Spike question and he avoided it. So annoying! You can tell Sarah is more of an Angel fan and Michelle is more of a Spike fan. I would have like to know who Joss favors more.

I think Sarah favors Buffy and Angel. I'm just going by past interviews leading up to season 7 of Buffy. I've never really heard her praise Buffy and Spike at all if ever. I don't blame her for not answering. That's kind of like rule number one when being involve in love triangles on television show. Or lack there of since we never really got a triangle out of these three. Another reason why I love Lover Walk so much. The last episode we see Buffy, Angel and Spike together in a scene.
