Now that S8 is almost wrapped up, I think we can all begin to rate and compare our favorite arcs (aka Season Eight episodes). Here we can discuss why certain ones rocked and why others failed to impress. Its all in the eye of the beholder, of course, but what made S8 awesome or fail?
Also, I chose to split up the Predators & Prey arc because I saw those as stand alone issues (episodes) like how we had fillers in the original TV series. In addition, I included the one-shots that dealt with S8 too...
1. The Long Way Home 2. The Chain 3. No Future for You 4. Anywhere but Here 5. A Beautiful Sunset 6. Wolves at the Gate 7. Time of Your Life 8. After These Messages... We'll Be Right Back! 9. Harmonic Divergence 10. Swell 11. Predators and Prey 12. Safe 13. Living Doll 14. Retreat 15. Willow : Goddesses and Monsters 16. Turbulence 17. Twilight 18. Riley 19. Last Gleaming

Can you please make the poll results hidden until a vote is cast? I think being able to see how everyone else voted will influence the outcome.

I thoroughly enjoyed Twilight. Meltzer did a great job, the reveal was satisfying because I had pegged Angel as Twilight well before Covergate, and I looooooved the Buffy/Angel love scenes.

I put wolves at the gate because I found it the most amusing. I am currently liking last gleaming though, so I'll have to see how that turns out before I can say for sure.

Sorry you can see the results "before" you vote, I just figured people automatically knew what arc they liked and changing it would mean deleting it and re-posting it... so I hope its doesn't bother too many folks. Sorry.
I chose TOYL because I thought it really hit home for me with the whole "Nothing" regarding what Buffy did for the future (and her "warning... spoiler alert" was SO sad). And then to have an ending that regardless of what Buffy knows or tries, Fray's future will happen... so sad! That's why it was my favorite!
My second was NFFY, I thought it was a great story and before we really knew what "Twilight" was, it gave fans a good chance to ponder wildly. I admit, when I read NFFY in fallof 2007, I thought the ending of S8 would be entirely different from where we are now, but I enjoyed where this journey has taken me.
Third would be ATMWBRB (damn that's a long abreviation... Lol). I thought it was fun and I enjoyed the cuteness of it. It made me REALLY want a kids TV show so we adults could watch it and laugh about the old times.

Hmmm. It was veeeery close between No Future For You and Time Of Your Life. But I fell in love with Fray after the first issue, same goes for Buffy after the first episode so to see the two of them come together. Her world went so well with Buffy and seeing Willow in it depressed and seeing how she eventually dies was frantastic. . hope they use he rin any other upcoming Fray continuation if they can. Or at least mention her. I was sure it was Dru who was the mad lady. Nice swing in the opposite direction. However 2nd and next after that is NFFY then WATG A beautiful Sunset. Willow 1 shot, Anywhere But Here and of course 'after these messages we'll be right back'. .

You know, I enjoyed Turbulence, Twilight, and Goddesses & Monsters...
But for me it's absolutely impossible to top Time of Your Life. It's just so damn beautiful.
