keep a lookout on cbox

Hello everyone, I just wanted to let everybody on slayalive know that we need to be careful what we say on the cbox.

For e.g. somebody (I can't say who?) on the cbox was talking to me and I was showing that person nothing but respect. Next thing you know we were talking about babies and this person said that they would love their child a lot and i said thats nice. I then said i'd like to have a kid when i'm like 30 and then he/she said you're child would be dirty and would be touched by the devil. he/she kept saying things like that. I doubt he/she was joking because he/she didn't say anything after that.

So everybody please be careful what you say to the person who you talk to on the cbox. I was very offended that somebody said something so disgusting and vile like that on the cbox and is a well known member to slayalive.

That's horrible, I think people should be respectful of all member in all areas of the forum, including the C-box.

Yeah it was horrible.

I have to admit that slayalive is the greatest site and has the greatest people on here but it's just a shame that one of those people says bad things like this.

While I think it's inappropriate and disrespectful, I'm pretty sure that person was joking. They've been pretending to be different people all day, so it's not just you. I'm pretty sure they've stopped now.

I like jokes that are actually funny rather than offensive. I know for a fact that if i said that about someone else's kid they would not take it as a joke at all. It was very rude and that person is poison for saying that.

Eh. That just goes to show you that people can have drastically different senses of humor. If someone said that to me, I'd just laugh about it.

Anyway, this person was obviously just trying to get a reaction from you. Don't give them what they want. If it happens again, just ignore them.

I notice that people easily get hostile towards members they don't like in the c-box. People I respect who should simply tell a mod about the offensive person or ignore the person involved entirely.

Don't give the trolls what they want.

It is sad that someone would be so rude, but just like any online chat room you do have to be careful what you say.

That's awful Harm, I would be really upset if someone said that to me and in what way is that supposed to be funny? I know people have different sense of humours but seriously?

I don't use the chatbox as don't like how people can be any name they want on there and I am never sure who I am talking to. And I know that some members have in the past gone on with a different name just to annoy and mess with people so I don't have the time or patience for it.

I hope you reported them and next time just ignore them and tell one of the mods. People should be respectful to everyone, even online.

I heard from another member that the person who said the joke (it was meant to be a joke according to my friend) wasn't a member here, she just posts in the c-box from time to time.

It's being handled. Any more shenanigans, and I'll be asking Phil to shut down the cbox until we move to the new forum, when there'll be tighter security.
I don't care if something is said in jest; if no one finds it funny, you're not funny. And any more of this "my friend" said business, and I'll be asking for names.
Though... some names are already coming to mind.

hmmmm. yeah, the c-box does have it's times of being a little bit rude and offensive....but im sure the member was kidding. and i can understand why your upset Harm. I would show alot of courage if the member that said that apoligized here and cleared all of this up.

I know I have said things that I have regretted in the C-Box before. But I never mean to offend. I have been trying harder to make the thoughts go through a filter before they get sent to my fingers. I wish to express my deepest apology to anyone that may have been offended by anything I may have ever said in the C-Box. And to NEW members... Be careful what habbits you start when you first come here. It takes alot to break them...

That's so true! To do this day I still can't start my mornings off right without hopping on SlayAlive and making fun of Sky.
