Negative transaction with a member, or seller from eBay or elsewhere? Horrible story from retail hell? Let us know.

Can i share my horrible story? I really need to vent this but it's not Buffy related. Geek as i am i'm 'collecting' a complete Harry Potter Gryffindor outfit for myself, so far i have pants (i'm not into skirts), sweater and tie.. so this summer i decided to buy a robe custom made for me from www.fairytalesdragonscales.com. I had checked their Ebay feedback and bought from a shop that's linked to them. So i really trusted it to work out fine. I just ordered it through e-mail and the lady was very nice, it would take 6 to 8 weeks to finish which i understood, of course. So after 8 weeks i emailed them to ask about my robe and i didn't get a reply, e-mailed them some more until i finally got one back saying they had send it to me. Now, i know things can get lost in the mail, but i really seriously doubt it.. i've had a lot of things send to me from the USA and never has anything gotten lost. Anyway, it didn't matter cause they said they would mail me a new one with a tracking number, but they never e-mailed the tracking number to me.. and now, months later, i still have no robe. Nor do they reply to my many e-mails. I even tried to contact them trough paypal in case their mail wasn't working, but they also ignored that. I'm just so pissed, i've lost $141 over this.. and i'm usually very careful with this stuff, i have had only one other bad transaction in all the years that i've been buying from the net. Do any of you have any tips how to deal with these people?

Call me, and I'll go beat them up for you. LOL.
Seriously? I've dealt with this problem in the past, and I've been on the receiving end (as I've had packages lost, too...though I suspect the buyer had it, and now I put tracking on everything). It IS blatant theft, as you paid up front, and they never sent the product, and have no proof, or sent you any proof they have sent it. I know people hate to do it (me included) but you have a couple options:
1. Contact the authorities, and ask what they can do 2. Contact Paypal (if that's who you paid with) and see if they can do anything, even though it's been months since the transaction 3. Just cut your losses 4. Badger them, threaten them about the authorities, and maybe you'll see your robe
It's not always a good outcome. I've lost tons of money I didn't have from a couple people that did this to me. It's all based on what you're willing to do for it.

Thanks for the tips, i'm still mailing them now to try and see if i can get a reaction, i've tried being really nice about it, and i've recently send some angry ones as well (telling them they STOLE my money) hoping that they would feel guilty.... but nothing. I'm not giving up though, i'm gonna make them crazy!
I have thought about contacting the sites that they link to, like a wand store. I have bought from there before and they were good sellers, really friendly and fast. I could tell them what this so-called store is doing to me and they might be able to contact the person who owns it. Would that be worth trying?
Also, they still sometimes sell on Ebay, next time they have a robe for sale i will make a new Ebay account and buy one with "Buy it now" and just don't pay. At least this way i can give them bad feedback, i could say something like "I've already paid for this item MONTHS ago and never got it, maybe this will get your attention".... i would get bad feedback back but i won't use my own account so.. at least i could warn other people.

I am not even going to dignify this with any more of a response than I already have. I am insulted that you would (repeatedly) accuse me of such things and I would like to think that the members of this forum know me better than to believe that I would do such a thing.
I have already addressed this in PM. I offered to fix the figures and I explained that it was an over site on Buffy's base and I offered to send it to her on my expense. When none of this was good enough, I offered a refund. What more can I do?

I have put myself out enough. I do not remember anything about sending the base at his expense. Wanted me to pay to send figures back to be fixed. again, i have already sent a ton of money. with the way the trans has gone, why would I dish out more? with no guarantee that the figures would come back to. My leaps of faith have been exhausted and he needs to do something...ie refund and then I ship, etc. But that is not acceptable. I have not repeatedly done anything but state how the items were arranged and how statistically improbable the whole situation is.

Like I said, I am done addressing this in the public forum. I would like to think that the members of this and the other forum who have known me for YEARS would know that I am not as shady as is being sugested. If you would like to see the pm of me offering to send you the base, I can show it to you. It is still in my sent folder. I am done addressing this in the public forum.
