So as some of you know..Joss Whedon will be taking over for Brian K Vaughn for a few issues on this fantastic comic, Runaways. If you haven't read it...drop everything and get these. Seriously...they rule. Buffy fans would really like this book. You cna get the trades for relatively cheap in digest form. I buy mine from www.instocktrades.com and i plowed through all of them in like three days. so so good. I am totally looking forward to Brian K Vaughn's run on the Buffy s8 comic and likewise Joss' take on the Runaways. its like peanut butter and chocolate.

Ohh....I love comic books. I'm gonna have to take your suggestion...b/c I've looked at the trades at my comic shop, and always pass them up b/c of my love for DC comics (and a tight comic budget). I never can pass up 52...now, that's the shit.

Brian K. Vaughn is one of the hottest writers in the industry right now. Many in the business say that Joss got extremely lucky that Brian agreed to help out on the new Buffy comic. I think many fans will like his writing for the new Buffy series.
I've become a DC fan recently. I loved the new Supergirl!

What are they about? Gareth A group of super powered teens learn that their parents are super villans...shananigans ensue! I've read Runaways here and there, personally I don't care for it but am interested in Joss's run. Astonishing has been great!

These do sound pretty good! I am not much on comics that are non Buffyverse. Now that Joss is involved in this series, I might have to check it out. Correct me if I am wrong, but this sounds kinda Heroes-ish??

yeah sort of...but these characters live in a universe that already has heroes in it...and villians. There are also lots of crossover moments..characters from other comics are always dropping in.
